Solid PSU
- Pros: 1) Does what it supposed to
2) Excellent Quality
- Cons: 1) none
- Other Thoughts: Seasonic is the OEM for alot of companies. So the alot of those Antec, Corsair and long list of others are really Seasonic PSU with a few mods from the companies listed.
Kinda Like the LCD screens, Samsung supplies the Tube or LCD screen and companes like sony add their own 'Guts' to refine it.
Don't buy one of these!
- Pros: 1 of 4 i bought is still working.
- Cons: 3 of 4 i bought FAILED in the first 3 months or less of use.
- Other Thoughts: I will never buy a SeaSonic product again. I was building two computers at the same time and i bought two backup power supplies since these were critical machines. Good thing i did, because one power supply failed on initial power up. Two other power supplies failed within the first three months of use. This was in both machines. All failures were accompanied by a loud pop, sizzling and smoke. These are obviously not good products.
Top Rated PSU
- Pros: Has all the goodies.
- Cons: Not impressed w/ the quality of the Molex connectors. Had trouble w/ 2 of them - pins not aligning w/ female side connectors. Also, hard to visually recognize the correct orientation of the plug. Disappointing quality for such a "top quality" product.
- Other Thoughts: Haven't fired up the system yet - still building. So I really can't evaluate all of the PSU's functions.
