5 out of 5 eggsGood So Far

Pros: Worked first try. Good quality wiring. Very quiet and cool. High efficiency rating. Seasonic has a good rep for quality.

Cons: Some of the connectors could be a little longer. The 8-Pin EPS connection required me to route the wire over the top of the mother board rather than routing around it.

Other Thoughts: I got this one after two others from another manufacturer failed. One was DOA and the other failed after 12 hours. Should have gotten this one in the first place.

5 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Reliable and well known for having solid voltages on all rails. Most of mine are within .005% variance at idle. Seasonic is a name you can trust for PSUs. Very efficient and all of my last 5 or 6 systems have had Seasonic, and not a single problem (contrast that with other brands that have died and taken out HBAs, sound cards and motherboards at the same time).

Cables plenty long enough for a full tower case. On one hand, could use a few more connectors...

Cons: ...but on the other hand, if you had more they'd really start to get in the way (there's a LOT already on this PSU).

Not modular, but if you want to pay a bit more you can get that.

5 out of 5 eggsCorrect Voltage

Pros: Having the correct voltage is most important if your going to build a high end sys that will last for years to come.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: My SYS , DX48BT2.QX9650,OC to 3.8, 8 gigs DDR3-1333 dual HD4770 GPUs, H50 cooler,Dual Sony OpticArcs, Logitec 5500 5.1 ,Intel 160gig SSD , If you are going to OC a sys and make it last you need stable voltage.

5 out of 5 eggsBest PSU

Pros: This power supply is the BEST on the market right now.
Sea Sonic is a highly rated brand as they make PSU's for Corsair and other highly rated brands.

I got mine when it was on sale for $130 and free shipping.
And it came with a free surge protector.

I have had no problems with this this at all, and I know it will outlast my system and power any system I upgrade to later!

Get it if it is on sale!!!!!!! After I bought it at $130 it went to $179 and now it is at $199. There must be a high demand for these as the price keeps going up.

Cons: It is not a con but it is stated that this is the non-modular power supply. So the cables do no detach like the more expensive model. However you save a ton of money going with this model.

With some zip ties though all cables are out of the way and not constricting airflow.

Other Thoughts: JUST GET THIS.

It will outlast your system that you plan to put it in for sure.
It delivers clean power continuously and it very very efficient.
It will save you money on your power bill for sure!
It has undervoltage, overvoltage, power surge, and everything else, protection.

My system:

CPU: Core i7 870 3.3ghz Asetek Liquid Cooling
Mainboard: Intel DP55KG
Memory: 8 Gb DDR3 1333mhz
Hard Drive: 1 Tb Hitachi
Video: EVGA GTX 285 2 GB
CD Rom: DVD Rw & Blue Ray
Power Supply: Sea Sonic 850watt S12D

3 out of 5 eggsgood product horrible support

Pros: excellent power supply. all my seasonic power supplies last forever. they do run a bit hot but that's compensated for with the reliability you get. solid oc at or above 3.8

Cons: horrible service. seasonic used to be a great company for customer service. i recently had to rma a 600watt for a customer of ours. first time i ever had to send one back. they gave us the run around, took 2 weeks to finally say ok to send it back, and wanted to charge us for it! Kevin Han is the name of the person at Seasonic rma that just doesn't get it! If you give poor service, noone will buy your product no matter how good it may be!!!!

Other Thoughts: hope and pray you never have to send anything to them. Warren Chen, the GM there took care of us. We are a large value add reseller. Thank you Warren, but it shouldn't have taken your involvement. Common sense would have resolved our issue.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Plenty of sleeved connections, quiet, weight of a brick, voltage fluctuations more than acceptable (.12V fluctuation on 12V rail while playing Crysis for 2 hrs), it's a Seasonic.

Cons: I wonder if this PSU is designed for a bottom placement ATX case. I have an Antec 900 and I wish the main CPU cable was an extra 2-3" longer. It's not modular but knew that before I bought it.

Other Thoughts: My rig:

Intel Q6600 @ 3.3 GHz
Gigabyte P45 mobo
OCZ Reaper 4GB DDR2 RAM
HIS 5850 1GB video card
WD Caviar Black 500GB HD x2
Plextor DVD
Antec 900

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value and Performance

Pros: Excellent reviews and reputation. Runs like a champ. Very quiet. Sleeved wires to the connectors. Great price from Newegg.

Cons: Not modular however when my HAF 932 case is closed who cares. My case looks neat an wires are all tied neatly with the S12D.

Other Thoughts: If you really care about modular check out the M12D

5 out of 5 eggsGood Quality, Heavy is Good

Pros: Nice and heavy- indicates high quality. Cheap power supplies are light. Good brand, had all the cables I needed and more, long enough for a mid-tower case with plenty to spare.

Cons: Cables are not detachable- as indicated- but there are so many of them that its a bit of a problem to tie them down.

Other Thoughts: Seasonic is a reputable brand.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: Solid product with good support if needed. Quiet and stout. Good efficiency, clean stable delivery and cool running. Seasonic actually makes the supply.

Cons: You may need support. Two rail design (for those that need to balance loads).

Other Thoughts: We opted for a PCP&C model over this one for extra capacity. But our earlier Seasonic did have a problem, and Seasonic support took care of it promptly. If we didn't need the extra power of the PCP&C, I would not hesitate to buy this model.
