5 out of 5 eggsPlenty of power, quiet fan

This review is from: SeaSonic SS-750KM3 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Fully modular, fan is great, no electrical noises ("coil whine"). All of the sleeving is great quality, and all of the cables are black. Not sure if I like the flat cables for everything but the 24 pin, but it is what it is. Includes some cable ties!

Cons: Modular cables are extremely tight on the PSU end.

Other Thoughts: I chose to run the fan on normal mode.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

This review is from: SeaSonic SS-750KM3 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Very sold All around PSU.
Gold rated.
Has been going strong for almost 2 years.

Cons: A little bit of coil whine that I noticed after switching cases, but not the worst I have heard.
Read other

Other Thoughts: So after such a good run this Power supply is starting to go I think. I can Idle, watch videos, etc and be fine but as of recently if I try to play a game after a while my computer shuts down. After a few times of this happening I went to look at my computer and noticed that the PSU was extremely hot. The fan works so I know it is not malfunctioning, it should be able to get enough air from where I have placed it but it seems if I play any game it will just shut off after 25 minutes or so. This is the first SeaSonic power supply that has done this to me. I would not go away from SeaSonic because of this, I have had a long run with this power supply, but I do not know what could be causing this.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid PSU

This review is from: SeaSonic SS-750KM3 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: + Modular cables (and plenty of them)
+ 80+ Gold (Nice n efficient)
+ Fan is silent (inactive unless under significant load)
+ Rock solid
+ Mesh wrap around cables is super nice.

Had it for 4+ years now, and still running fantastically.

Cons: Not a con, just a waning:
-A bit of confusion regarding the fan at first, which can lead some new buyers to believe their fan isn't working. In fact, it is working, but only spins when the PSU has a certain % load.

Other Thoughts: Had it for 4+ years and it's served me well, and will continue to do so I imagine. Seasonic seems to make PSUs for Corsair and Antec anyway, so just go straight for them when choosing.

Would give 6 stars if I could. This is the only part from my original PC build 4+ years ago that I won't consider replacing for a long time to come.

5 out of 5 eggs1yr update

This review is from: SeaSonic SS-750KM3 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Silent, looks nice, comes with a bag for cables you are not using, feels and looks like quality.

Cons: Nothing at the 1yr mark, absolutely flawless.

Other Thoughts: I run a Dell i5 i got for cheap, that i droped this power supply into, with a PNY Nvidia GTX680 Xceletrate edition. Work GREAT!!! When they say its bulit with a quiet fan they mean it, because even if this thing makes noise, I can't tell because my video card is the only thing i hear, and thats only on battlefield, othe games like X-com, Civ, CS:GO, my machine doesnt make a sound.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked fine for a year

This review is from: SeaSonic SS-750KM3 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Price
Performance

Cons: Coil Whine
Abysmal support

Other Thoughts: PSU worked fine for a year, then it started to make the dreaded coil whine some people over the internet experiences. Mine was exceptionaly loud.
I contacted seasonic support for warranty replacement and inquire if they cross ship the item. Honestly, who has an extra 750W PSU lying around to use while warranty process completes and who knows how long that will take.
My e-mail was replied simply with "Submit the online form". My additional email with question of cross shipping the item was promptly ignored. Bought a corsair PSU and will never buy seasonic again.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi youngmin s.
I am sorry to read of your current experience with our product & support.
Please note, for coil whine, please enable all Energy Saving modes in the BIOS as this should resolve the coil whine issue.
It is as well at times dependent on the MB used.
As for RMA support, please send the description of the issues to me at newegg@seasonicus.com and I will see if we can trace this issue for you.
Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome psu

This review is from: SeaSonic SS-750KM3 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: -beautiful looking psu and cables
-whisper quiet
-i love fully modular
-750w

Cons: -maybe price, but you get what you pay for

Other Thoughts: Slightly bigger than my 430w corsair psu so it just barely blocked off my bottom fan mounts, that's my fault i have a small mid tower case. Need to upgrade case.

5 out of 5 eggsSeasonic = Quality

This review is from: SeaSonic SS-750KM3 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: I've read a lot of reviews on power supplies and from what I gather, Seasonic is the company to go to for reliability in power supplies. I've had Corsair & Antec power supplies in the past, but figured I'd give Seasonic a chance after reading all the glowing reviews regarding their high quality manufacturing standards. So far, this unit seems to continue the trend. Keep up the good work!

Cons: None - Some people prefer the "old-school" style wrapped round cables as opposed to the newer flat/ribbon design. I personally think it works well.

Other Thoughts: If you can get a good price, definitely give them a shot!

5 out of 5 eggsAs expected

This review is from: SeaSonic SS-750KM3 750W ATX12V V2.3/EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Looks nice. Seems well built. Works great. Has crazy nice packaging.

Cons: The only con I could find was the molex cables, and that's more of a "why the heck are people still using molex?!" con than anything. I do wish they would include those molex cables as just having one connector on the end, then providing a splitter, as I am tired of EVERY SINGLE LAST molex cable having 2 or 3 extra connectors hanging off of it for daisy chaining. Seems like a good idea until you remember that people with a brain avoid using molex at any cost. also I thought the PCIe power cord was a bit short, but that seems to be an issue with all power supplies. Other than those things no real complaints. get it, you wont be disappointed.
