Sea Sonic Electronics launches the M12II “Bronze” Series, the new and upgraded version of the M12II Series in response to the growing demand and anticipation for more energy-efficient products. The M12II Bronze Series inherits the same output and wattage options as well as the superb quality and ultimate silence from the M12II Series. The M12II Bronze Series, available in 520 and 620 watts, offers buyers with a mid range power output solution with cable management, to meet their exact system needs; cable management is now made easier than ever.

The M12II Bronze Series achieves the 80 PLUS Bronze standard of at least 82%, 85% and 82% efficiency under 20%, 50% and 100% operating loads respectively. Combined with Active Power Factor correction (Active PFC), the M12II Bronze reduces energy waste, boosts power efficiency and more importantly, helps the users to save energy and reduce electricity bill.

It powers my FX-6300 (stock clocks) and HD 7870 (also stock clocks) with absolutely no problems in a room that varies from 12 to 26 degrees celsius. It is absolutely silent - you will not hear this PSU operating over your other components. The modular design makes it very easy to install, and it comes with sleeved cables, always a good thing in a "budget" PSU. Cons: The only con to this unit is that the CPU 8 pin power cable is a bit shorter than it should be, which means that I couldn't route this cable across the back of my mid tower case - it went over my GPU instead. Not a big deal to me, but you will be able to see if it you have a windowed case. Other Thoughts: It comes with a "powered by SeaSonic" case sticker, in case you want to let people know which PSU you're using. Did you find this review helpful? Its very cool as in looks nice and runs at good temps. Comes with all of the cables you need. Modular. Cons: Comes with an extra 8pin cpu that no one on earth will ever need unless you have two cpu's. Other Thoughts: I highly reccomend this product. The molex pins were not loose like you see in cheaper construction. Neat carrying bag. Cons: It's common practice in all brands of PSU, so I can't blame this product but I am annoyed at having 3 SATA plugs being on 1 cord. I'm sure this works great in a circumstance where all your devices are stacked perfectly vertical, but with the typical placement of SATA optical drives in relation to SSDs/Hard Drives it honestly just makes it a hassle. Other Thoughts: Would have been 5 stars if one of the cables hadn't come mangled out of the box. Didn't realize it was mangled at first until the computer wouldn't turn on. Had to untwist the cables and reset them in the correct spots. I reviewed this PSU back in July as well and my review back then still stands. This PSU has been running without complaint in a relatively high end gaming machine as detailed in Other thoughts. The modular aspect makes this PSU a joy to work with and I can now attest to how reliable it is. Cons: None at all. Other Thoughts: Rig installed into: Gigabyte GA-Z77MX-D3H, F15 BIOS Team 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 RAM, 1.5V, XMP Core i5-3570K, default clock Plextor M3 256GB SSD as primary and ONLY drive ASUS DVD/RW Sapphire Toxic Edition Radeon 6950, unlocked to 6970 Seasonic M12II, modular 520W PSU GE wireless keyboard and mouse, micro USB receiver Cooler Master 430 case, and still using the blingy fan!
