5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Nice PSU. As of this review it has run for six months 24/7, no problems. SeaSonic is on my short list of PSU brands worth looking at (and it is a very short list).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I did the math and the electricity savings of getting a higher efficiency PSU than this were perfectly matched by the price increase.

5 out of 5 eggsInnitial Impression's

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Well I am glad it turned on and everything worked. I have a dvd burner, fan controller, ssd,and 3 hdd's. It is an fm2 micro-atx board with a 100 watt A10 5800k. Powers everything and could even power a gpu if I get one. Nice finish matte black, seems to be smaller or less depth into the case which is a nzxt tempest 210 Cables are clean black and they are easy to work with, no rainbow spaghetti. I used every cable but the pci-e. so no major deal not being modular.

Cons: Atx 4 pin would not reach behind mobo for connecting, had to leave it showing in front. Air from psu fan makes noise maybe slightly quieter than my old enermax naxn 450watt.

Other Thoughts: If you have a big case or mid tower case you may need an extender for your atx 12 volt 4 or 8 pin for a clean look. Since this is not modular a person wouldn't expect to have cable tidiness to a severe degree. I expected my system to be quieter, no such luck. All 7 fans in my system are geared to be quiet including the one in this psu, but together they all make some noise. I guess I'll live with it. Maybe next time buy a fanless psu and see if that helps.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little power supply

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Almost four years after buying this power supply and it's still going strong. I haven't really put too much strain on it over the years, though.

Cons: I could only say the Bronze certification and it being not modular, but you know that when you purchase it.

Other Thoughts: This power supply has been in two builds, my server when it could still fit in an ITX case and more recently an HTPC build. No hang ups so far! I expect it will last another four years.

5 out of 5 eggsSeasonic Quality

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Proven Seasonic quality, excellent reviews, great price, nice and short (140mm). strong enough to run a mid-high-end graphics card (one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCIe leads).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Built to last, with premium capacitors, large wires and good connectors.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT PSU

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Runs Quietly, stays cool even while playing BF4, have not had ONE ISSUE with the PSU, before i ordered a used (yea lesson learned) Corsair GS700 from a mazon thru a third party and the fan wouldnt even come on, so it would get hot and shut down the pc.. I hadnt heard of Seasonic before, cause I have never actually upgraded a PSU before.. but after reading reviews i knew it would be a great decision.. so, im VERY happy with this power supply.. and would HIGHLY recommend it to you guys

Cons: not any that I have found yet

Other Thoughts: Im very happy with this PSU if your wondering if you should get this PSU, get it.. for the price I paid $60 u cant beat it, seriously.. i know i might sound like i work for SeaSonic at this point, but im just very excited cause the psu i had before Blew, and the replacements fan wouldnt even come on, so i was starting to think it was my board that was messed up.. this psu has ran like a dream

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -Very little fluctuation in voltages
-plenty of connectors

Cons: -none

Other Thoughts: I bought this due to a series of reviews showing its excellent voltage regulation. I have to agree with them. A lot of the more recognized brands are much worse because they do not produce their own PSUs. Seasonic does and other brands regularly rebrand Seasonic PSUs.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes everything a PSU should do.

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Reliable, easy to use, electrically efficient, fits my case well (Bitfenix Shinobi)

Cons: Not modular (but you know that going in, so whatever).

Other Thoughts: PSU reviews are fairly simple. Seasonic products, for me at least, have always worked right out of the box, consistently, and without issue for a long time. I've owned this PSU for 15 months now, so I can't speak to super longevity, but I've been running a system with about 420 watts TDP, and have had 0 problems. I've got an Intel 3570k, a Radeon HD 7950, and both are overclocked without problems. I wish the cables had been modular for slightly easier setup, but they certainly have a modular version available in their M12II series, so get that if that's important.

5 out of 5 eggsClass rig, high number of connectors

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: I upgraded my wife's workstation with a larger video card so I also needed a higher wattage PS. No problems and running for almost 2 full years with the unit never turned off. Plus it is a classy looking rig, and no want of needed connectors. I bought the SeaSonic because of superior ratings and reviews. Not disappointed at all.

Cons: None.
