4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Good price/performance value. Quiet.

Cons: Cables are pretty short.

Other Thoughts: This is a great power supply but I have to knock it down an egg because the cables are pretty short. It's obvious this power supply was designed to be mounted on the bottom of a case where its closer to the video cards and hard drives.

5 out of 5 eggs2+ years and still going.

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Worked fine for 2+ years. has survived power outages and multiple hardware replacements. Has not failed me and lives up to its reputation.

Cons: None other than the 8 pin power connector is a bit too short. Not enough to dock an egg though.

Other Thoughts: This is one of the best things out there. Just a shame I didn't go with the 620w semi modular variant, but I am satisfied with my purchase. This replaced a raidmax that burnt a hole in my motherboard. Never again will I use subpar quality products.

Go with seasonic. they make quality products.

2 out of 5 eggsIntermittent failure

This review is from: SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -quiet
-well organized cable bundles

Cons: -Defective power supply
-Poor customer support

This power supply was intermittently forcing my computer to reboot about 3 times a week or so. It was very difficult to trouble shoot since it happened so rarely. The reboots started to become more and more frequent (sometimes rebooting during POST and sometimes rebooting dozens of times within a few minute span). It would randomly then stop misbehaving and act normal for a few days. I swapped power supplies with an older machine I had and no longer saw any problems. I threw this suspected PSU into another computer and it began exibiting the same issues. Since it is very intermittent I am afraid when I RMA the power supply, they will not detect the issue. They charge you $25 if they don't think your PSU is defective so I was very hesitant on sending it in. I tried contacting their support to bring up this issue but they never replied to me.
