This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Worked without problems for two years. Minimal noise

Cons: Bought Oct 2013 and crapped out December 2015

Other Thoughts: Go with the EVGA PSU's, I just bought one and they are looked upon very favorably.

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 2 years

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very quite
5 year Warranty
Love the modular cables

Cons: I had no problems at all with this unit until it died today with no warning, just POOF power gone. That's far too short of a life span for a supposedly "top quality" PSU. Hopefully the RMA process goes smoothly.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi John,

I'm really sorry for the problem you have with our product. It seems that you have started our RMA process. If you have any question, you can email us at: newegg@seasonicus.com
Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsSeasonic m12ll 620w B+

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: have 2 of these going on 4 years, in comps running most of the time (gaming,surfing...etc) nvid 780's in both plus i5's oced.
have a third 620 just bought a year ago for a back up comp that is fully mod compared to the older ones being semii mod (I prefer semi mod for micro and bigger...but not w/itx)
power is not an option plus less breaks in the power line seems better, but with an itx you have to find space for the extra lines you wont be using which can be crucial.
got all my 620's while on sale, seems to come and go with these

Cons: 0

Other Thoughts: what to do with all the badges? also have an m12ll 850 in my 980ti rig and also had a 700w befor all these that ran without any problems also.

2 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It mostly wasn't an issue the first year. But over time it got worse. In this case it could have fried my components. But it didn't. So a huge pro there. Whatever was wrong with it, the fail safe inside worked.

Cons: I was getting random black screen lock ups. I replaced my RAM, Mobo, and even swapped HDDs. Eventually I realized it was the PSU when I changed some of the cords, I wasn't getting fan errors anymore. The 2nd power port for the GPU was completely broken, and my theory is the cord that went to the top part of the motherboard, that area was broken inside. I got a EVGA replacement. No more crashes. I wish I had realized it sooner. Crashes went from bi-weekly to daily over 2 years. Either a broken capacitor or rail(s).

Other Thoughts: I do not like their RMA process. Unlike Corsair it's very accusing, with $25 penalty fee if they /wink don't find a problem. I have to cover shipping. All and all it's almost cheaper to just buy a new one, and that's never a good thing. When my PSU died with Corsair the replacement is still working to this day. I have had awful luck with motherboards and PSUs over the past 5 years.

Manufacturer Response:

HI Jonathan, I am sorry about your experience. I am not sure about what happened. The 12V CPU port was damaged? Can you please write to: newegg@seasonicus.com and please let us know what has happened so we can verify the issue? Thank you.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU, Strange Customer Service practices

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Solid PSU, Good value for money, 5 year warranty, Fully modular, and it comes with a plethora of cords and adapters.

Cons: Lack of communication from company during RMA service. (See other thoughts.)

Other Thoughts: So almost a year into owning this product, I had it have a failure. No worries, these things happen with all electronics. This is why I bought a seasonic, it has a great warranty. I went to their site to RMA it, and like many companies - there was an automated process. I entered in my information, and a shipping label was created. However, after I printed out the label and the confirmation number, that was the last I ever heard from SeaSonic. I only knew that they received the unit because I paid for tracking on my end. I only knew that something was headed back to me because FedEx told me something was shipping to me from the city that I had originally shipped the faulty unit to. Even today when I got the replacement unit, there was no documentation of any sort in the box. I am guessing that what I have is a new, or at least a refurbished unit since the unit they shipped doesn't match my serial number, but I have no way of knowing for sure. The new unit works, and I'm pleased with that - but seriously, they couldn't have even taken 5 minutes to send me an email saying what's up? I'm only taking 1 egg off because there's no law that they have to let me know anything in their RMA guidelines, but it really wouldn't hurt to be a little more communicative, I feel.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Anthony, I am sorry for not providing better information during the RMA process. We are working on the improvements and if you have any questions or concerns, please wrote to us at: newegg@seasonicus.com Thank you.

2 out of 5 eggsCoil Whine

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Powers my i3+7870 system without a hitch, would recommend without issues I had.

Cons: Came without main power cable for outlet, such an odd thing to not include. Seasonic however hooked one up for me though with some basic order info. Main issue is the coil whine. It makes this weird ticking noise that can get very annoying. It happens at random times and will leave and return without warning. Im annoyed but too lazy to RMA it.

Manufacturer Response:

HI Debbie, I am sorry about the inconvenience. I suggest for you to please contact Sea Sonic USA for RMA. The process is quite painless and we will gladly test the unit for you. If you have any questions, please contact us at: newegg@seasonicus.com Thank you.

4 out of 5 eggsGood little PSU

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Nicely packaged, Silent, fully modular. Works great no issues! Great price for full modular

Cons: The main MOBO connectors are nicely wrapped. But the "sleeving" that goes with all the additional power cables eg PCIE cables feel plasticy.

Other Thoughts: For the price a great unit.
