4 out of 5 eggsone thing

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This modular PS works great and I have nearly no complaints about it.

Cons: The only thing I did notice is that the plugs included in this product seem very cheap compared to others I've seen.

Other Thoughts: All things considered, I'd still recommend this for the price, very well built.

4 out of 5 eggsSome quirks but it turns on so that's nice.

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Modular, sturdy, quality construction. It comes well packed and all the cables come in a little gimmicky sack. It provides consistent power and is quiet. The cables are plenty long enough inside of the Fractal Design R4 case.

Cons: Plugging in the wires can be troublesome and may require a fair amount of force which is why I deducted one egg. Once you get your plug aligned with the cable, the clip doesn't snap in place on some ports (mainly PCI-E) unless you really put some work into it. I think more work could go into the clasps on the ends of the cables.

Other Thoughts: I've never purchased a SeaSonic before but I'm really hoping it goes for as long as my Antec 550w is still going. I bought an Antec TrueControl 10+ years ago and it's still working with consistent power. Pretty impressive. Time will tell.

Regardless, for system builders - modular is the way to go.

1 out of 5 eggsSloppy Cords

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: NA

Cons: The cords that come with the power supply are losse and sloppy. This is causing power loss on the video card and hard stop shut downs on the PC. The plug going into the MoBo is so loose I have to set the PC at an angle with the cord wedged to keep is pressed in place.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Scott,
I am sorry but your complaint is a bit strange as normally speaking, some people experience connectors which are tight and need a bit of force to seat it properly. It is not only the plastic connector that is a snug fit but so are all the internal pins inside the connector which also is a snug fit on to the MB & VGA's power connectors. All the connectors we deliver comply to Intel specifications. I beleive you have not inserted the connector properly and kindly ask you to do so again and if you have any issues, please contact me at newegg@seasonicus.com and if you have photos, please send them as well.

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: None

Cons: Dead on arrival TWO TIMES

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Minoru, Very sorry for the inconvenience but having DOA two times seems a bit strange, perhaps a connector was not properly seated or an issue with the MB? I do hope NewEgg can resolve your issue and if you have further quesitons, please write to us at: newegg@seasonicus.com Thank You.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Full modular with long enough cables to reach anywhere. Great design and fit and finish is great. No problems setting this little guy up and it seems very quiet.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: My last PSU drew air from under my case (bottom mounted), where my case has a dust filter. This one however, draws from inside the case, where the air will be much warmer.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Compact and sleek. Good quality cables.

Cons: DOA and the headers that connect to the PSU are very difficult to plug in, (takes way too much force).

Other Thoughts: Just buy an Antec

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Jacob,
Sorry for the issue and I hope NewEgg can resolve this issue for you as soon as possible.
When you mention that the connector takes way much force to connect, perhaps a wrong cable was used?
If you have further information on this issue, please contact newegg@seasonicus.com thank you

5 out of 5 eggsEveryone craves for more power

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Originally thought about going for a higher watt PSU, but after reading articles and using various PSU calculators; got to love (though I really hate the misinformation factor) Google, I found that I really don't need a higher watt PSU. For those looking to gauge their builds with what they need, mine is as follows: i5-4670K CPU, MSI Gaming 5 motherboard, GTX 760 2GB, 120 SSD, 1TB HDD, blu ray optical drive, 2 140 mm fans, 3 120 mm fans, and a NZXT Phantom 410 case. My CPU cooling is the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus.

Concerning Seasonic, I am totally sold on this manufacture. Previously, I used Corsair TX 650M, but had to return the first one due to it being faulty. The M12II worked right out of the box!!! Power is consistent and steady. It works like a charm. I think that everyone should make the move to modular simply for the sake of case management. And before you bring the question of price, I paid $90, so there really is no drawback.

Cons: The only "con" that I can think of would be running an SLI configuration. Even though it supports SLI, for me to run 2 GTX 760s I need an average of 550 W, which in my opinion, is leaving only a very constrained margin of overhead. I theoretically would like at least a 100W of overhead room. But realistically, I would probably never run an SLI configuration, so 620W is perfect for me. For a single GTX 760, I only need 440W.

Other Thoughts: This is the perfect product for those who build their own systems; really great for either either first timers or the experienced. And from what I heard/read, Seasonic is probably the best PSU manufacturer and I am glad that my experience is proof of that statement.

This review is from: SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Excellent product; Affordable price

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: First time trying this brand, but I am impressed with the design and quality of this product. I really like how the wires have plugs on both end, so you only attach the ones you need.
