SeaSonic Electronics introduces the S12II “Bronze” Series; the updated version of the award winning S12II Series to meet the growing demand for high efficiency and yet price competitive power supplies. The S12II Bronze Series achieves the 80 PLUS Bronze standard of at least 82%, 85% and 82% power usage efficiency at 20%, 50% & 100% operating loads respectively. This, combined with Active Power Factor Correction, enables the S12II Bronze to reduce energy waste, boost power efficiency and more importantly, reduce the energy costs for the users.

In addition to the efficiency upgrade, the S12II Bronze Series maintains the strong foundations of the S12II series. Important features such as the stable and proven Double Forward Converter circuit design, the industry leading Smart and Silent Fan Control (S2FC) and the use of high reliability Japanese brand capacitors are all carried forward to the “Bronze”.

The S12II Bronze Series, similar to its predecessors, is available in the standard ATX Form Factor and in wattages that are most common for a PC system. In addition to the all-in-one cabling design, this 620W model comes with additional EPS connectors for IPC and server systems and supports both 6P & 8P PCI-E connectors for the most current and high end dual graphic cards.

  • newegg 80 PLUS Bronze Certified The 80 PLUS Bronze certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 82% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg 620W Power with Ample +12V Outputs A max power of 620W delivers safe, reliable output for high-end gaming computer systems. Enhanced +12VComb.@48A rail broadens unitization possibilities for feeding today’s energy-hungry CPU and VGA cards.
  • newegg Japanese Brand Capacitors The SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze utilizes highly reliable 105? Japanese brand capacitors for exceptional stability and product lifespan.
  • newegg Efficient Cooling with 12cm Cooling Fan and S²FC The SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze features a 12cm ball bearing cooling fan coupled with honeycomb construction for increased overall airflow and heat dissipation in the power supply enclosure. SeaSonic’s exclusive S2FC (Smart, Silent Fan Control), combining with soft-mount rubber cushions, helps the fan run quieter and more efficient for the optimal balance between noise and cooling.
  • newegg Dual PCI-E Connectors With one 6-pin and one 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors, the SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze allows you to build up a SLI or CrossFire gaming system.

5 out of 5 eggsSeasonic S1211 620 Bronze

Pros: Quiet. Powerful. All of the plugs you'll ever need. All cables long enough, not too stiff.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I 'll always buy Seasonic. I bought one for my other system build, and was highly satisfied. And I am again

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Very quiet.
I can only warmth from it within an inch and measured a max of 51C (125F) using an IR temp gauge pointed directly at the coils while running my FX-6300 and HD 7870 at 100%.

Cons: Since it's not modular, you'll probably be taking the two molex connectors and the extra motherboard power connectors (2X4 pins) and wrap them up to make a bundle about 2 inches wide. I just put them in between the power supply and the case on the side. If you have a case that has the PSU top mounted you'll have to find somewhere to tie the bundle. I put the extra SATA cable up by the disk drive to keep it out of the way.

Other Thoughts: All these reviews make you think that half of these power supplies are DOA or fail after a couple months, but it's probably more like 1%. Even if something does go wrong, it has a 5 year warranty. And SeaSonic does seem like quite a good brand.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Has a lot of connections

Cons: Has a lot of connections that can't be removed or be easily tucked away.

Other Thoughts: I knew it wasn't modular but this is a messy psu if you are trying to keep your wiring neat.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for it's price.

Pros: VERY quiet, solid.

Cons: Really short 8 pin.. It has to squeeze over all the other parts to get to its spot in the mobo. Theres also a lot messy cables. I highly suggest getting the modular version instead.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works exactly as expected, silent.

Cons: Nothing worth losing an egg.

Other Thoughts: The SATA cables are a bit stiff so connecting all the drives took a bit of work but nothing major.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy the modular version

Pros: From what I've read in tests and reviews this is a pretty high quality psu. You usually can't go wrong with SeaSonic. Also, 620 watts gives me ample room for adding on and upgrading my computer.

Cons: Short 8-pin connector. I had to route my 8-pin connector over my graphics card to make it reach the top of my motherboard instead of routing it through the back of my case like the other wires, so it's oddly sitting in front of everything. Nothing worth docking an egg for though since it does reach.

Other Thoughts: This is my first build and I immediately regretted not getting the modular version of this PSU. The door on the back of my case where all the wiring goes barely fits on with the amount of huge wires coming from the PSU, so I advise spending the extra $ for modular unless you're on a really tight budget.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great PSU, good sleeves for the cables, hasn't caused any issues. Should've bought a modular one, but that was my fault.

Cons: The 8 pin CPU connector is for some reason really short. I can't route it to the other side of my case and have it come out on the top of the case to the mobo, so right now it's sitting between a case fan and my Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, obstructing (probably minimally) some airflow. That also just looks messy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: Really just a great power supply for the price. Has more than enough cables {love the 9 sata connections}. It is heavy and well built and you can't beat a 5 year warranty.

Cons: At this price point absolutely nothing.

Other Thoughts: It does have a lot of cables...so if that's an issue, go modular.
