5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: I bought two. Run quiet, if I did not see the fan moving I would not even know they were on. Even under intense gaming no problems. I just bought a X650W gold seasonic for my daughter and cant wait to install it in her system. She games a lot for a 14 year old girl. so when it came time to upgrade her PS, it would only be seasonic. so well built.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Newegg has been the best place for me to buy computer hardware and such. They process your order fast, ship it fast, and are always here if you have any questions. I love there videos on products they sell, and some of those I have purchased purely because the video answered all my questions about the product.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality, Efficient, Quiet

Pros: Highly efficient PSU, with extremely tight regulation. From 138W all the way to 785W, which is idle vs max load on my system, the 12V rail stays between 12.03V and 11.98V. That's insanely good regulation. Stepping up from an 80-Plus Silver 910W PSU, this one lowered my power draw at the wall by 18W at idle and by 32W at max load.

It's also extremely quiet. I never noticed how loud my old PSU was until I installed this one. Anything under half load, and you can't hear it from 3 feet away.

Cons: I like to remove the fan grills from my PSU's for better airflow and a small bit less noise. This one is part of the case, so it's not really removable.

You get 5 molex 4-pin power plugs, 3 on one lead, 2 on the other lead. Worth noting if you've got one of the high-end motherboards with a 4-pin molex on the board for extra PCIe power since it leaves you with really only 3 molex connectors for fans or water pumps.

Other Thoughts: A Seasonic page for ordering custom modular cables would be nice. I recall a certain PC Power supply company that used to make fully custom-connector non-modular PSU's.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works great, no issues so far. The package was really nice could do without. I have it set for hybrid mode and I have not heard the fan even once and to test it I did switch it to active and still could not hear the fan.

Cons: The cords were really stiff.

Other Thoughts: Really good psu would recommend it to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsPSU

Pros: This is an awesome psu it replaced an extremely loud one and I have not even heard the fan once.

Cons: Stiff wires but not really worth taking an egg off.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed slowly but surely

Pros: Quiet, modular, worked great for the first 10 months

Cons: After 10 months, started shutting down on its own. Removed some devices to lower draw, stopped for about 3 months. Then, it started shutting down after 2-5 minutes no matter what. RMA to SeaSonic and it appears they sent me back a used PS - this one failed to even turn on after 3 days.

Other Thoughts: Waiting for SeaSonic to respond about replacing this again.

5 out of 5 eggsA Powerhouse of Endurance

Pros: This is the best PSU that I've bought in a long time and I've been very choosy on what to get based on rating, build, quality, and benchmarking. This product, so far, has been the best I've had in years and it's very customizable to boot. No need to have every cable cluttered up in your box, if it doesn't have a use then you can put it in the pouch that comes with the product. It's also quiet and has a hybrid mode that's come in handy whenever you need more or less power output for your computer. A reliable and powerful piece of equipment.

Cons: I've yet to find a real reason to be pessimistic about it, if anything it's a wee bit heavy, but that's never been anything new with any PSU.

Other Thoughts: Overall great, not highly priced, and can save you power.

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Fan doesn't spin unless it is under significant load, even then, still very quiet. very efficient, and also versatile with the fan switch on the psu which allows you to have more control.

Cons: coil whine. however, this is only when the computer is on. even in sleep and hibernate this almost acoustically inaudible coil whine is not apparent. if you have another fan in your computer, it will be drowned out by that sound, no matter how quiet your case fan is.

also, the peripheral cables are on the shorter side for my case. I have the original raven case, and had to get creative to make it work.

Other Thoughts: neither of the cons are enough to take away my ether for this psu. this psu solved my noise complaints with my computer. I have an old enermax psu whose fan would run 80%+ all the time, and now it is silent heaven of computing. this psu, the silverstone raven case, and an zalman heatsink for the cpu makes my computer crazy quiet. FINALLY!!

3 out of 5 eggsEfficient PSU - Best out there

Pros: My goal is to have a silent, powerhouse computer. The first obvious step was to upgrade to watercooling, which made a tremendous drop in sound. Secondly, the Corsair TX750 PSU (bronze rated) had the fan blasting ~100% for most of the time (~4 years old at that point - it was dying), and made for an easy 2nd target.

This Seasonic 860W PSU's fan is absolutely silent. No sound whatsoever. Idle wattage dropped from 170W to 140W; wattage from GPU + CPU folding dropped from 355W to 305W. It's also relatively easy to sleeve, given the modular setup and thin wiring. However, the PSU is still the loudest item in my PC (see Cons).

Cons: Unfortunately, it has an obnoxious coil whine. :(

This is still the loudest thing in my computer. I've RMA'd one of the PSUs already and the new one was stuck with the same whine. I've isolated the problem to the 24 pin connection to the MoBo - ASUS Rampage II GENE.

My TX750 did not have this problem on the same MoBo. I'll eventually get a new MoBo to try it out with, but until then I'm stuck with either a loud, broken fan in my TX750 or a coil whine. Fortunately the coil whine is slightly less annoying than the fan (barely).

I hate to whack 2 eggs off for the coil whine, but silence is the primary reason I purchased the PSU. My experience was therefore below average.

Other Thoughts: GTX 680, Intel i7 920, ASUS Rampage II GENE, Antec P180, 128GB Corsair SSD, 4x2GB Corsair XMS RAM, 2GB HDD, Koolance RP-1200, Gelid 120mm Silent Fans w/ 2 120 mm rads & EK-KIT-H3O-LTX120-D water cooling kit.
