5 out of 5 eggssilent nights...

Pros: SILENT!!!!... up about 50% load.
without power cord. (OEM version)
three sata plugs, one molex plug, one "floppy" power plug (small 4pin connector)
SILENT!!!!

Cons: none, perhaps only one molex connector.
no pci-e power plugs, (but that is due to the power rating)

Other Thoughts: can not stress enough that the fact that this psu's fan only spins, at around 50-100% load!... so it is SILENT!!! ( most computers idle at under 100 watts)

the one molex plug is not really a drawback, (and ide HDD's are "tech junk collectors" stuff) (because they include 3 SATA plugs)... but if you are going to power a graphics card you will need an adapter. )
graphics cards that need two pci-e power plugs, tend to be paired with powerful CPU's so that might go over the power rating.

5 out of 5 eggsGold

Pros: Quiet, Efficient. Seasonic Reliability.

Cons: Expensive-ish. Larger than the PicoPSU it replaced.

Other Thoughts: As to the $25.00 warranty handling fee, I thought this was only if they tested it and determined that nothing is wrong with it and it is within specs. That would blow my mind if Seasonic started pulling $25 handling fees for honoring the warranty.

1 out of 5 eggsQuite a racket they have going

Pros: Cheap. Not too loud.

Cons: I was skeptical about this low cost power supply, but it came with a five year warranty. So I thought - what could go wrong? If it dies I'll RMA it. Mine lasted about two weeks. Motherboard light comes on, but no main power anymore. So, I went to the support site to start looking into how to exchange it. Turns out that not only do you have to pay out of your own pocket to ship the dead unit to them (not such a surprise there), but they also charge a $25 "handling fee" to exchange it for a refurbished one. I'm guessing they do a lot of handling. You have to pay significantly more than half of the cost of the product itself just to get the company to honor their "warranty." Learned my lesson on that one.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: good quality, fairly quiet

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I needed to upgrade my Dell Vostro slim (ST) with a better graphics card (Nividia GeForce GT 520), so I had to also upgrade my power supply. This one works great. It's not very loud and gets the job done.
