2 out of 5 eggsOEM POWER SUPPLY ???

Pros: -efficient, the fan doesn't kick on unless its using over 50%. (according to the label). my fan didn't kick on at idle so its very silent.
-newegg shipped this quick and was at my door very next day.
-seems well built
-has floppy power connector if that's important to you.
-excellent replacement for my htpc SFF build

Cons: -came shipped to me in OEM, meaning that it was wrapped in bubble wrap without the original box and accessories.
-newegg did not specify this was OEM from the product page.
-literally only one molex connector so if you need more, be ready to buy an adapter. also the floppy connector is on that same line.
-no 6 pin connector but technically not powerful enough to run a gpu that requires that.

Other Thoughts: -I was an idiot and didn't check the measurements before i bought it, just because it "looked" exactly right the mounting holes are about 5mm off each hole, my fault but I made it work. I would like to see the measurements added to the pictures to remind people to measure.
-I would recommend this psu to people but make sure your measurements are perfect.
-OEM, -3 stars for not mentioning this.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your comment. I have forwarded your complaint about the lack of info about this PSU. It's indeed one of our BULK model which always come in bubble wrap without any accesories as they are made for industrial needs. It seems that the product is satisfying you and we do hope it will continue even if your final 2 eggs didn't show it.
Thank you and have a nice day.

Pros: I'm coming back just shy of 2 and a half years after buying this unit, to add that it died after 24/7 use for that length of time. RMA process was pretty painless. Looks like they sent me a new unit.

Cons: I wish it lasted longer.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great and runs quiet.

Cons: None, as of yet, that is.

Other Thoughts: Didn't fit in my case, but that was my fault for not measuring before buying.

5 out of 5 eggsMuch quieter

Pros: This power supply got the job done very quietly. Now I can almost hear the electronic whining noises that have nothing to do with fans.

Cons: Didn't quite fit the space exactly, but that's probably the case I have. Specifically, the screwholes up front seemed slightly off and the back brace had a too-wide tab and wouldn't attach. The zip tie holding the bundle of cords close to the power supply was too far away and interfered with cable routing so I had to cut it.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a terribly loud 200W that came with my Winsis WT-02C case. This is much better. Cables are about the right distance but I can see this becoming a problem with anything larger.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: fits perfectly. it is tfx standard.
Haswell compliant
Fan only turns on when needed making it very quiet.

Cons: cables were a bit short for my application.

Other Thoughts: especially short was the 4pin cpu power cable. the only way for it to fit is streching it straight across the MB. be prepared to get an extender or splice if you have your case mounts the power supply on the bottom!

5 out of 5 eggssilent nights...

Pros: SILENT!!!!... up about 50% load.
without power cord. (OEM version)
three sata plugs, one molex plug, one "floppy" power plug (small 4pin connector)

Cons: none, perhaps only one molex connector.
no pci-e power plugs, (but that is due to the power rating)

Other Thoughts: can not stress enough that the fact that this psu's fan only spins, at around 50-100% load!... so it is SILENT!!! ( most computers idle at under 100 watts)

the one molex plug is not really a drawback, (and ide HDD's are "tech junk collectors" stuff) (because they include 3 SATA plugs)... but if you are going to power a graphics card you will need an adapter. )
graphics cards that need two pci-e power plugs, tend to be paired with powerful CPU's so that might go over the power rating.

5 out of 5 eggsGold

Pros: Quiet, Efficient. Seasonic Reliability.

Cons: Expensive-ish. Larger than the PicoPSU it replaced.

Other Thoughts: As to the $25.00 warranty handling fee, I thought this was only if they tested it and determined that nothing is wrong with it and it is within specs. That would blow my mind if Seasonic started pulling $25 handling fees for honoring the warranty.

1 out of 5 eggsQuite a racket they have going

Pros: Cheap. Not too loud.

Cons: I was skeptical about this low cost power supply, but it came with a five year warranty. So I thought - what could go wrong? If it dies I'll RMA it. Mine lasted about two weeks. Motherboard light comes on, but no main power anymore. So, I went to the support site to start looking into how to exchange it. Turns out that not only do you have to pay out of your own pocket to ship the dead unit to them (not such a surprise there), but they also charge a $25 "handling fee" to exchange it for a refurbished one. I'm guessing they do a lot of handling. You have to pay significantly more than half of the cost of the product itself just to get the company to honor their "warranty." Learned my lesson on that one.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: good quality, fairly quiet

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I needed to upgrade my Dell Vostro slim (ST) with a better graphics card (Nividia GeForce GT 520), so I had to also upgrade my power supply. This one works great. It's not very loud and gets the job done.
