Pros: not sure

Cons: so far i have just got my second one and about to rma it as well.. second one fresh out of the box, plug it in,, Nothing!.. Second power source and no power is flowing through it.. -.-

Other Thoughts: well i would rate this product if any of them will turn on! sigh.. 20 bucks per return. if i do this too much ill end up paying for it all over again and haven't even got something that works. common seagate!

1 out of 5 eggsThe light's on but no one's home

Pros: None

Cons: I had purchased this PSU for a new system build and from the start I was experiencing random Blue screens and system freezes. I had tested this unit with a power supply tester and all voltages were good. I adjusted every voltage setting in the Bios, swapped video card, sound card + drivers, ran memtest numerous times. I decided to swap out with an old 500w OCZ PSU, Solved! No more BSOD and system freezes.

The RMA process for Seasonic makes you pay to ship back and they will charge you $38 if they do not find anything wrong. After three months of hell, no way. I will never deal with this company again.

Other Thoughts: It would of been so much better if this thing was DOA, quick fix. Thanks to Toms Hardware I can find out which companies seasonic manufacturers PSU's for and avoid.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: It is very quite and i have not had any major problems with it so far

Cons: The 8 pin CPU cord is very short and i would only use it with a case were the power supply is on top

1 out of 5 eggsLousy

Pros: None

Cons: Blew up and took my motherboard with it. Didn't last 3 weeks. 8 pin motherboard connector literally melted into the socket. Now not only am I out a $89 power supply but also a motherboard. Seasonic doesn't seem the least bit interested in replacing the component(s) their power supply ruined. They want to send me a replacement power supply, I guess so I can take the chance of frying my new motherboard that I paid for on my own dime. NOT GONNA DO IT. Take my advice - it isn't worth chancing all of your components frying with this psu.

5 out of 5 eggsTwo Thumbs Up - Way Up!

Pros: Without question - the best 550W PS for the money. Look no further. Your search ends here.

1. Unit runs very quiet. Even under my systems full load (<300w) the unit remained absolutely quiet. Had to put my ear against the case to make sure the fan was on. It was, but very quietly.

2. All voltages were slightly higher than their target, but all were within 2.7% (3.38v/3.3v, 5.1v/5v and 12.32v/12v).

Cons: The modular cable lengths, as well as the two fixed cables, were perfectly acceptable for my case, the Corsair 200R. I suppose if you have a case taller than than the 200R you might have a problem reaching the top of the motherboard from the back side.

5 out of 5 eggsBUY IT

Pros: Gold certified, modular, plenty of wattage for me running i5 3750k @stock speed, (1) graphics card, 2 hard drives.

My building is a classy 1920s tenement with not-so-classy 1920s wiring where the lights dim when using the toaster etc... this thing runs like a champ! No problems w my pc.

Cons: Stiff cables, so use cabling that comes in your case, or buy some sticky cable clips and you're all set :D I really bent those cables like 90 degrees right at the base when installing the PSU into my case and didn't have any issues once i forced in in there.

Other Thoughts: Bitfenix Prodigy case (yes it fits just gotta use some slow constant force to get it in)

i5 3570k@stock, Azrock Z77E itx mobo, Crucial Ballistick 8gb ram @1600, Gigabyte gtx 650ti 2gb, Intel 335 SSD 250gb, WB 1.5tb green hd, Lite-on dvd burner, Seasonic 550w gold PSU, Windows 8, Logitech g700 mouse, Noppoo Choc mini KB

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU, only 4 fan cords

Pros: Almost no problem, no sound, has enough power for everything, and easy to manage.

Cons: I needed one more fan power than I thought I would, and this PSU did not have it.

Other Thoughts: Yes, technically it has 5 (I think not going to open the case and check), but three of the sources are on the same coord and I could not reach everything. Would not have been a problem if I had not needed to get an expansion.

4 out of 5 eggsRebate Issues

Pros: Good Supply

Cons: The staff of the company Seasonic uses to process the rebates is incompetent. First submission was refused due to improper UPC code. I used the on the box ? Second submission refused due to missing UPC code. I submitted a copy since they still have the original. I spent an hour on the phone with them trying to get the rebate issue resolved with no success. Seasonic if your reading this. Dump them and find another company that can handle the job.
