This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: It lasted a year?

Cons: It lasted a year.

Other Thoughts: Shouldn't these things last more than a year?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are sorry to hear that this PSU lasted only a year for you.
However, the good news is, this PSU does comes with 2 years warranty.
If you like a replacement, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com and we'll have someone at our team get back to you as soon as possible.

2 out of 5 eggsIt works, but it is the loudest PSU I've ever bought.

This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: It's very clean and slick with a huge fan. It runs very cool. Modular is always nice. The cables are long enough for a standard mid tower case, regardless if you use top or bottom mounted PSUs.

Cons: This sucker is loud. It is easily the loudest fan in my case. Which is sad as I had another Raidmax PSU and it was quite silent. First, the circular metal fan shield will vibrate. It sounds like a loud ring. The older raidmax models had a shield that went over this that seemed to prevent the vibration. This one, as seen in the image, doesn't have one. A little duck tape at the edges to hold it down removes the ring and allows you to hear the fan itself is LOUD.

Edit: It easily puts out 70-75 db on a db meter at three feet from a closed case. I had to send it back. I couldn't even hear my speakers at normal volume

Other Thoughts: I only recommend this to folks who don't really mind loud cases. Everything else about it works fairly well. It comes with enough modular cables to get you started. I have a few left over, in fact.

The LED? Gimmick. It's a button that turns a light on the PSU on and off. Kinda useless other than that.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our PSU.
Seems like maybe the fan was the issue, the damage to the fan might happen during shipment.
Regardless, if there's anything we can do for you, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: Powering GTX 960 SLI overclocked with fx 6300 overclocked to 4,6 ghz and two hard drives 1 ssd and optical drive as well as the rest of the PC with custom lighting motherboard, etc...

Cons: it doesn't waist money on useless 80 plus...ohh wait thats another pro sorry xD...

Other Thoughts: Who cares? if its not as efficient at the wall because that's the only difference between 80plus and non BTW im coming from an 80 plus rated evga 430w to this, so i'm not bias. More on the power bill you say! so the bleep what your already not concerned about that if you need this much power lol.

1 out of 5 eggsTrash. Failed after 2 weeks

This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: Worked at first

Cons: Failed very quickly for no apparent reason. Can't get a response at all from Raidmax customer service despite multiple attempts.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. Don't buy from Raidmax if you want customer service or a product that won't fail out of the blue.

2 out of 5 eggsHad two die in 8 months

This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: Not very loud
Nice fan LED
Removable cords for cable management

Cons: Iv had 2 of these in the past year. First one died after 2 months, second one died after 4 months of use.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend spending more for a better PSU. I paid $64 for this one, to ship it back was over $50
Even for a budget build, get a better one, it will save you money and time.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are very sorry to hear that this PSU didn't work out for you.
If it's still within the warranty period, we are more than happy to exchange a brand new one for you.
If there's anything else we can do for you, or if you want to know how to process a exchange request, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.

3 out of 5 eggsGood for those on a budget.

This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: -Blue light for my scheme matched really well.

-A good buy for something short term; until you can afford a better one.

-Lasted about two years and is still going; however... (see cons)

Cons: -With mine, the port that the main power cable plugs into was very touchy. If you so much as bumped it, most times it would completely cut off power entirely. Which just isn't good at all.

-I believe it's beginning to fry my Hard Disc Drives. I went through two so far this last year (which is ridiculous) and upon putting in the third, it almost immediately started doing the same thing as the other two did when they died. The SSD I put in is fine so far; though I'm not taking any chances...

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a package deal newegg had going on. Worked fairly well for its price. Not good in the long run if you're buying this and expecting it to last for a while.

1 out of 5 eggssave yourself a headache

This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: Well it has a blue light, the fan is super quiet, so it has that going for it.

Cons: Arrived around the 13th, installed on the 21st, died on the 27th. The cabling was fairly terrible with plugs that just felt like they were cheap.

Other Thoughts: Just save the time and headache, grab yourself a better supply. Do some research and don't make my mistake, I got lucky that it didn't take my system with it but it could have.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our Power Supply.
However, it does comes with 2 years warranty, and if you like a replacement, simply call or email us and we would be more than happy to take care of it for you.
Or if there is anything else we can do for you, give us a call, or if you prefer by email, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy peasy

This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: I love the fact this PSU has modular cabling.
I only needed a couple of the cables it came with. very nice for future expansions.
An on off switch for the Fan LED( Very nice considering).
Cables are fairly long for ease of connection, and complements my wing design tower as I do not need to disconnect anything to fix a loose connection or what not.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: Over all this PSU is awesome for a budget build. Kudos Raidmax. and Thank You for a quality product.

5 out of 5 eggsWOOOO

This review is from: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New Version with Build-in LED Fan On/Off Switch

Pros: So far loving it, upgraded from a 560psu i got for 15$ off CL. needless to say it didnt like booting up since it needed about 480-500w to start. This one boots with no light flickering and no problems keeping up when gaming :)

Cons: None so far. Will update if i run into problems but with 2 year warranty on parts/labor i don't see a issue in the future

Other Thoughts: None, why does newegg require all fields complete?
