3 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: Cheap, get's the job done. So far so good on PSU #2. Nice modular connections.

Cons: Never got mail-in rebate on this PSU or the one before it, Both Raidmax brand PSUs.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace another Raidmax PSU I bought at a local big name electronics store, which died only months after purchase. Both came with a mail-in rebate which I never got. The old PSU was under warranty and contacting Raidmax resulted in giving me the run around. I ended up just buying this to replace it. The second PSU is running fine with no issues but i'm disappointed in customer service and support.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
First we like to thank you for your review.
We are sorry about the rebate probelms that you are encountering.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service and we'll see what we can do for you regarding the rebates.
We don't process the rebates ourselves, we outsource it to a company that handles rebates.
Again, we appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

1 out of 5 eggslasted 2 years 4 months

Pros: Worked without issue for just shy of 2 and a half years

Cons: Completely stopped working. Never had a high load ( i5 2500k , 8gb mem, 7850 2gb 1 ssd 1 hdd). Contacted raidmax directly for rma service or support. They said they have a two year cut and dry warranty and that I should (figuratively) pound sand. replaced it with a seasonic (which I should have got in the great place

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsTotal Gabage

Pros: Cheap

Cons: It is a worthless piece of trash. LED DOA and after an hour of use a loud pop came from the PSU. Never again, I was a little sketched out about buying it after doing some research on Raidmax PSUs and for good reason they are garbage. Do your research there is overwhelming articles about this. I wish I would have before I invested in this product. Personally, I hope new egg will stop selling this company's PSUs.

3 out of 5 eggsGood While It Lasted

Pros: Lasted about 3 years and 2 months, which is considerably beyond the 2-year warranty. The modular connectors are convenient and make a neat installation, and the blue led light is nice.

Cons: Its life ended suddenly with a horrendous, internally contained explosion that I thought must've ruined the motherboard and/or the CPU, but they survived in good condition. It's only a bronze-rated power supply, so the components probably are lower quality than a gold- or platinum-rated power supply.

1 out of 5 eggsFaulty fan kills it

Pros: Ran for almost a year

Cons: Almost a year later and I smell burning open my case and burn my hand on the PSU! turns out the fan has gone bad and almost isn't spinning. opened it to replace the fan just to find out RAIDMAX does not make the fans to replace it. If you value the rest of your computer do NOT buy this! You run the risk of destroying everything else in your computer.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
First we like to thank you for your review.
We have heard your response and want you to know that there is a 2 years warranty for this PSU.
If you have any other questions or concerns, or need to have a replacement, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.

2 out of 5 eggsEh not worth it

Pros: Looks pretty good.
I got it on sale so was fairly cheap.

Cons: Cables are very short so do not buy at all if your using a full size tower.
Again the limited reach with cables is very annoying.

Other Thoughts: Unless you get a really good deal on this power supply look else where. It'll get the job done but can be a hassle when trying to set everything up neatly.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
First we like to thank you for your review.
We have heard your response regarding the short cables and forwarded over to our production team in our manufacture factory overseas.
We continue to improve our product quality.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.

3 out of 5 eggsCables

Pros: Cheap, good enough for a family members mid grade PC.

Cons: The cable are really short, even in a small case cable management was hard. I would not get this if you getting a good size case.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Power Supply

Pros: I like this powersupply because it allows you to only use the device cables that you need. It also come with a cable for the older IDE style power cables. The blue light is nice and you can turn off the light really easily if you want to.

Cons: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsQuietly does the job.

Pros: (1) Works; Provides stable power and keeps its cool.
(2) Very quiet fan.
(3) Cool blue light. (Good if other lights are blue, as mine are; Not so much if your other lights are another color.)
(4) The hybrid modular design is GREAT! No cabling octopus as with non-modular PSU's, but easier to connect all the needed cables than with full modular design. Truly the way to go.

Cons: (1) AC power cable fits rather loosely. I thought it might be the cord, so I tried another one. It fit loosely, as well.

The cord stays on if undisturbed, one should be careful cleaning, etc. or cord could be easily disconnected.

Other Thoughts: I am completely satisfied with this unit, aside from the somewhat loose fit of the cord. It could be dislodged when cleaning around the computer or whatever. Still, it isn't so bad that I took any eggs off for it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking well, no problems

Pros: Price, Output, Semi-modular, Decent cables with acceptable length and pretty good quality sleeves, Quiet.

Cons: Could have made PCI-E cables separate from one another

Other Thoughts: I've been using this unit for about a month without any issues. Fan is nice and quiet and wasn't DOA. Will report back if anything arises. So far so good!
