4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

Pros: Easy Install
Modular so it makes cable routing pretty clean

Cons: The 20+4 pin attachment not as good as some other PSU's I have owned. In the past they 4 pin is connected via a slider. On this PSU it is a piece of tape.

This connection caused me to not have a solid connection and when I tried to boot my PC the first few times my fans spinned at a quarter turn and all the lights on my case flickered. I thought the PSU or mother board was defective. After much trouble shooting I took off the 24 pin from the mother board and noticed with the tape is was not flush. I removed the tape and put in first to 20 pin then the 4 and problem solved.

5 out of 5 eggsAwsome PSU

Pros: Got it running, two R9 270X in crossfire, it rocks, switched from 5670 in crossfire this is way better, the fan only comes on every few minutes, and only runs for a few seconds, Absolutely no sound the rest of the time!!

Cons: The fan is a little loud when it comes on, but just for a few seconds

Other Thoughts: I put it in a Skyline 07-G full tower gaming case, w/7 fans, temp never gets above 50 degrees f !!

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Build PSU

Pros: -Lots of power( 88%efficiency x 850w / 100(%) = 748w of raw power
-Overclock i7 920 to 4.4 w/gtx670
-Semi-modular, best cable management

Cons: -None up to date

Other Thoughts: That PSU is really silent as I tought it would be louder.

3 out of 5 eggsNot so good

Pros: Worked well for about 1 1/2 years then it sent a power surge to the components in my computer and fried everything

Cons: It appears to have fried all the components in my computer

Other Thoughts: just very disappointed at the total amount of money lost due to the poor quality of this power supply

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
If the PSU under 2 years, it's still under warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsowned for 3 years

Pros: i've owned this psu for 3 years now and its still running strong.

I've had it sitting for about 1 year(in between the 3) due to the computer taking a bath in pepsi(everything survived except my acceptable 6850).

Until about 5 months i got a new gpu(shameless pny 560) and pulled my rusty computer inside from the make shift shed outside i had her in and put the 560 in and turned her on and she powered up no problems everything still works fine to this day.

I have no life i play computer games . when i first got it in January 2012 i played computer games on it 24/7 max settings i could(usually the max in the game, that 6850 tho) i have a cat that gets hair and dust everywhere s**ts all nasty and dusty but i dont even care. still running 10+ strong dont get in my way. but for real good psu and i play way too much i have no life i run air cooling 3 years.

first install it ran at 20c now running like 60c but idgaf yolo and ima do a good cleaning tommorrow got a new case(rosewill rise)
i will update the temps and if the psu survives the transplant(i hope i dont drop it)

Cons: none(yet)

5 out of 5 eggs2nd one to date.

Pros: -Mostly modular
-Modular
-Thick quality cables
-long enough
-2nd one I have had, so good I came back for seconds.
-More than powerful to power all the thing the high end gamer needs and more.
-Awesome handy tool tub! *indeed genius as one reviewer had said*
-easy to install and use.
-After a 20 dollar rebate and 20 dollar iron egg I scored this unit for this for 69 dollars! YEAH BABY!

Cons: -Cables are so rigid they are impossible to do some cable management for several drives.

Other Thoughts: This is the second raidmax 850w of the same model. The first time I bought one I was warned I could have problems as most seem to have. Oddly enough I have never had any problems and I like my raidmax for the most part.
