4 out of 5 eggsBetter than Expected

This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-635AP 635W ATX 12V v2.3/EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Power Supply

Pros: Modular Connections, Accessibility, This unit was more than expected for the price. The modular connection were great for cable management. Overall very good piece of equipment

Cons: only 3 different modular types. Liked the modular connection could have been nice if the PCE connection were either longer space between the connection or more of them.

Other Thoughts: This was used in my HOME PC Media Center. it supplied more than enough power and usability

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-635AP 635W ATX 12V v2.3/EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Power Supply

Pros: It's smaller than the plain SilverStone 650 W that it replaced by about 2 inches. Made it much easier to install. Now I can see the bare metal of my case upper forward area. Makes my motherboard look small.

I am surprised by how quiet it is. When I first turned it on I could tell the difference. It's only a faint whirl, Almost completely silent.

The modular cables snap into the power supply fully strong and tight.

Blue LED goes with my lit memory nicely

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Did not solve my flickering graphics problem, but worth it for the small form factor, low noise level and modular cables.

This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-635AP 635W ATX 12V v2.3/EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Power Supply

Pros: Plenty of power for my build. Has enough clean power to push my GTX 980. LED looks nice as well.

Cons: The fan is too loud? Not even, really. I haven't seen any problems thus far.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your time or money

This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-635AP 635W ATX 12V v2.3/EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Power Supply

Pros: I wouldn't know of any.

Cons: Purchased this as part of an AMD build. Get everything set up, go to turn the machine on for the first time, and nothing. PSU is dead on arrival. No big deal, I'll just call the manufacture (It was out of neweggs replacement period). That did me little good. Not only can you NOT find Raidmax's contact information on their own site, but when you finally do find it (had to get it from newegg) some guy told me in broken English to send a copy of my invoice to an email address that didn't work. I received no case number, no reference number, they asked me no questions, they just said "send an email here" and hung up.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your time. Sale or no sale, it's not worth it. Spend a few extra dollars and go with a good brand.

I would give this 0 eggs, but newegg doesn't allow rating that bad.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We're sorry for the bad experience you've had.
I like to hear from you, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

5 out of 5 eggsA Great Value for a Power Supply

This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-635AP 635W ATX 12V v2.3/EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Power Supply

Pros: I got this power supply about 2 months ago, so I haven't had much time with it, but the power supply seems to have a great layout for any system, the single 12V rail is a plus and the blue LED compliments my white and blue system, so it was a no-brainer. Even with a somewhat power hungry GTX 770 and CPU clocked at 4.2GHz and ~1.3V, the power supply hasn't hit any sort of limits and caused a shutdown. I suppose unless you wanted triple or duad-SLI, you wouldn't need much above this. The modularity was great and let me keep the cable clutter minimal, the cables are also long enough to reach across my NZXT Phantom, so anything that isn't the HAF Stacker setup, you likely won't need extensions. The last and probably one of the highest regarded considerations, price, is low compared to most power supplies and is still able to offer 80+ Bronze. Speaking of 80+, you are paying too much if you're going for an 80+ Gold, but if that's necessary, then you might consider it, but they are about the same %, it's not entirely too much of a difference.

Cons: There are no cons that I have run into in my limited ownership, but I doubt any will arise.

5 out of 5 eggsSuits my needs perfectly

This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-635AP 635W ATX 12V v2.3/EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Power Supply

Pros: Haven't run into any problems with this PSU. Fully modular, sleeved cables. Plenty of extra 4/6/8 pin Pci-E, Sata, and Molex cables included. Also, 635W gives me plenty of room to upgrade/overclock in the future.

Cons: None so far (Knock on wood)

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

This review is from: RAIDMAX RX-635AP 635W ATX 12V v2.3/EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Power Supply

Pros: Modular, Bronze rated, Price, Cables are long enough to hide, very quite,

Cons: fan is on bottom so I do not get to use the blue led

Other Thoughts: I have only had this a few days but I am very pleased with its capabilities and performance. My rig is Asrock 990fx extreme4 cpu 8650 SLi 660ti 16 gig ram 3 2 tb hds and this thing runs it great with little effort.
