2 out of 5 eggsProblems in less than two months

Pros: modular, easy to install

Cons: I installed this in February. In April, at times when I would shut my computer down, I noticed the small blue LED light on the PSU would be blinking. When this would happen I could not restart the computer. Eventually it would just start working again on it's own. It would go days without having any issues and then one morning I'd get up and the light would be blinking and nothing would work. I've sent an email to their RMA email address so we'll see what happens.

Other Thoughts: I loved the price and how this thing looked, information wise. Until I find out what's going on with it I am unsure if it's reliable enough. If I can get it replaced or diagnosed I will reserve the right to change my review.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
First we like to say we're sorry that you have some problems with this PSU.
You stated you already emailed our RMA department, we hope they have already handled this issue quickly for you.
If there's any other questions, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com and we'll have someone at our team get back to you as soon as possible.
Again, we thank you for choosing Raidmax products.

4 out of 5 eggsRAIDMAX RX-735AP 735W

Pros: Modular, good quality, easy to install, modular, I take 1 egg off for the rebate...

Cons: The only cons is Raidmax Rebates, from 12/17/2015 still did not got my rebate

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this PS as high quality and easy to install the modular cables. Like I said above, forget about the rebates...

1 out of 5 eggsJust outside of warranty

Pros: Partially modular. Easy to install. Blue LED.

Cons: Was experiencing random shut downs, particularly when trying to install windows updates. I eventually figured out that it was the PSU after I kept unplugging USBs and accessories until the shut downs stopped; I also noticed that my fan controller was not getting full power and the fans themselves sounded a little erratic. Sometimes a flaky PSU is even worse then a dead PSU, since it's harder to troubleshoot.

I do not have a power-hungry setup, so I replaced with an old OCZ 500W supply and now everything is fine.

It's just outside of the 2 year warranty. Go figure.

Other Thoughts: It may be an "affordable" PSU, but $60 is too much money to drop every two years on a new PSU.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are sorry to hear that your PSU is having problems after 2 years.
Unfortunately we cannot replace a new one for you once it's past the 2 years warranty period.
However, if there's anything we can do for you, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Plenty of power for my R9 380 GPU, FX-8350 CPU, Enermax Liqmax 120S, 5 20 rpm case fans. I could easily add a second R9 380 card and more fans with no problem.

The modular cables are very convenient. The cable wrap is nice looking.

Cons: 80 Bronze rating, but it's so inexpensive, what else do you expect.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks but its loud.

Pros: Worked. The cables were all long enough. Powers my overclocked i5-6600K and a Powercolor R9 280X.

Cons: Loud. At idle i can hear it but barely. When gaming and all my fans are maxed this power supply is easily heard over them. I have a Cooler Master Cosmos SE. The fans it came with are pretty quiet.

Other Thoughts: Wish i could get it to quiet down without opening it up and swapping the fan out. Its brand new and i don't want to void the warranty.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted, which wasn't very long.

Pros: Decent modular setup

Cons: Really bad QA

Other Thoughts: I've had this power supply about six months. The internal fan stopped working after one, and just today it decided now was a good time to catch fire, which it would have if I hadn't pulled the plug. Will not be getting another.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are sorry to hear that this PSU didn't work out for you.
However, it does comes with 2 years warranty and we'll be more than happy to replace it for you.

1 out of 5 eggsStarted going during warranty, died one month after.

Pros: Looks nice out the outside

Cons: Cheap on the inside
12v+ reads from 11.40 down to an amazing 10.9......
Support doesn't care at all.

Other Thoughts: BSOD's on my PC started happening well during the warranty period, As any PC tech knows it takes a while to diagnose BSOD's when they are interment and you get many dump files that point different directions. Well a month after warranty it just totally went, the PC had no power. Replaced the PSU with one out of the other PC and after a week of testing the PC is stable. I Contacted Raidmax about the situation and I got a reply with giant red text quoting their warranty policy. There was no sorry to hear that, no lets see if we can find your order, no help at all....

With most other companys they offer (corsair) 5 to (EVGA) 10 year warranty, Raidmax only offers 2.... It should tell you something right there.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We are sorry that this PSU only offers 2 years warranty.
We are continuing to get newer models which will offer longer warranty periond.
Again, we're sorry for the inconvenience and if you have any other questions, please send a email to rma@raidmax.com for faster respond/service.
We appreciate you choosing Raidmax products.
