5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The power station for the bay is amazing. The status lights are helpful. The 120mm fan doesn't do a bad job.

Cons: Hard to fit the whole thing around the radiator in the top of my case. Luckily I have a big case.

Other Thoughts: You might want to consider rerouting liquid cooler lines if you have them. They are a bit tight in my case. If you don't, you won't have any problems at all.

3 out of 5 eggsBe Carefull

Pros: It seems to be an OK power supply. Good and heavy duty. Plenty of power for the average Joe. Active pfc, Dual 12 volt, Modular cabling w/ plenty of connectors of all sizes. Over all it seems like a pretty nice supply.

Cons: This power supply is not an average shape or size. It will not fit into many cases. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing. It is just something that people purchasing this should be aware of.

Other Thoughts: I just wish I had known of the dimensions prior to buying it.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Deal

Pros: I loved the modular design. It makes it real easy to hide the wires in my case. I have got running Asus A8N SLI Deluxe, AMD 4600 X2,Dual eVGA 7800 GTX n538's, 4 hard drives and Dual NEC DVD Burners, E-MU 1820m Sound card and 6 80mm fans. Sometimes I wonder if my issues described below is due to the multiple devices installed.

Cons: First one I ordered was DOA. RMA'd took over a month to get new one back. When it arrived the 5v rail was faulty when I checked it before installing. RMA'd it and they sent new one, took 3 weeks. Looked like the one I sent back because of matching scratch that was on top. Works good for a week or two, then it randomly shuts off. Then it will go again for weeks until it starts acting up again.

The real pain in the is that it never acts up when I am just goofing off. Sometimes when I am rendering a 3D animation or editing a movie or mixing or recording a song BAM! It shuts off :(

Other Thoughts: I have purchased NUMEROUS TT liquid cooling, CPU heatsinks, Active memory coolers, Power Supplies and Cases. First time I have ever had a problem. Too bad it was with this one cause I really loved the way I can hide and route the wires in my case. I love TT products but I don't think I will use anymore of their power supplies.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems here!

Pros: Bought this PSU in Feb 06 to run new system with AMD X2 4800+ CPU, ATI X1900XTX video, 4 SATA drives, and 4 fans. Runs perfect to date. Never had any problems.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Connections were easy to set up and tuck away in case. All cables were sheathed for clean look.

4 out of 5 eggsHas been running smoothly... so far

Pros: - This power source is somewhat heavy, but I do not claim to have managed that many power sources before.
- Hasn't fried anything... yet. Seeing other reviews, I was afraid of that.

Cons: - I made the mistake of plugging in 3 hard drives (2x IDE and 1x SATA 3GB/sec) onto one branching power cable. It really shouldn't have been a problem, but it made my computer reboot during heavy or moderate load.
- Not too sure about the aesthetic look on the PST device that goes in one of your drive bays (see the picture), but it's not too ugly
- I do not like the blue LED lights, but that's a matter of personal preference
- I hate that you have to flip the switch on the back to turn it completely off. It's good in standby, but I do not like my optical mouse to be lit up while the computer is in standby.

Other Thoughts: Seeing as how many people have given this a bad review, I was skeptical, but ultimately I feel happy with this. It's been giving me moderate problems but that may be due to my ignorance. A solid power source.

1 out of 5 eggsBoard Killer

Pros: I would imagine it would be awesome IF it worked.

Cons: Unfortunately I got a defective power supply, no big deal, I'll just RMA it. BUT, not only was it defective and would not power on, it fried my motherboard. I put my old powersupply back in and nothing. Completely killed the PCI-E slots. I will never buy another Thermaltake product again.
