It IS a 4+4 12v cable...
- Pros: Awesome build quality, looks very nice. Tons of power. Installs easily, and is QUIET. Modular cables are very nice, as they help reduce clutter. Braided wrapping on cables are first-rate, and very tough.
- Cons: Would be nicer I think, if the 4+4 pin 12v was actually separated into two separate 4-pin cables... As of now, I'm not too sure how common 8-pin 12v motherboards are... I think most people have 4 pins.. But no biggy - read below.
- Other Thoughts: The last reviewer mentioned that this PSU comes with "an 8 pin" 12v cable. Don't let this scare you away if you have a 4-pin 12v board...
True, there are 8 pins total, but the plug is indeed a 4+4 plug. This means you can simply separate the plug into two 4 pin 12v connectors. In fact, this plug easily splits (intentionally) right down the middle on each end via little pincher locks. You'll still have half a connector hanging unused on each end, but this cable will work on all 4 pin 12v motherboards. I suppose another option would be to truly separate this cable by undoing the braiding and heat-shrink, and removing the unused half... Too much work for me.
Great!
- Pros: Modular design is awesome. You only have the cabling in the case that you actually need, instead of a bunch of wiring you have no use for and need to tuck away. Bang for the buck is great, too. ***Runs COOL***
- Cons: Zilch.
- Other Thoughts: As far as power supplies go, the more uneventful the installation and usage is, the better. In the case of my W0106U, my experience has been totally uneventful... just the way it should be.

- Pros: Great PS, Still Working hard after 30+ months.
Still as silent as the day I started using it. Minimal cleaning has kept it looking brand new.
- Cons: None that I have run into.
Only 3 PCIE Connectors
- Pros: Pros... Well it's not huge and the modular connectors are nice. Had a memory problem with last power supply and no memory problems with this power supply.
- Cons: Only has 3 PCIE connectors. Why 3? You would think if newegg was selling it as a combo for crossfire they would make sure it had the necessary connectors and not just count on the video card to have molex adapters when this PSU has the ability to have 4 PCIE with an extra adapter.
I need 4 for crossfire. Has 2 6 pin PCIE connectors and one 8 pin. Used supplied 8 to 6 pin adapter and spliced an extra 6 pin from my old power supply to make a total of 4. Works with no issues.
- Other Thoughts: Buy an 8 pin to dual 6 pin adapter if you want to use crossfire or SLI instead of using molex adapters.
excelent
- Pros: Working great 2.5 years later. This is the only component from my very first computer i build that i still own till this day. Excelent psu. Great with Modular and fairly high power for how old it is.
- Cons: Suprised the cost hasnt come down more in the past 2 years. I guess you are paying for good quality that will last you. Cables dont get "loose" after time, they are still stiff, but it's able to take the wear and tear of bending, so dont worry about moving them around enough for them to fit
- Other Thoughts: Pleased with my purchase so long ago. Will definatly buy a thermaltake psu for my next psu. This thing is still kickin it with my overclocked E8400 overclocked from 3.0 to 4.1GHz. No problems whatsoever
