Bring your system to life with the Toughpower XT W0223RU power supply. It complies with ATX 12V v.2.3 standard and is ATI CrossFire certified. It also works with the latest quad PCI-Express and multi-core CPU configurations and is ready to deliver 750 watts of power where you want it – safely and reliably.

The single 12V rails will provide 60A – enough to satisfy most power needs. Active PFC (power form correction) maximizes power efficiency saving energy – and money on the power bill. Industrial-grade protections built into the power supply include defenses against over current, short-circuit, over voltage and no-load operating.

The +12V output circuit provides stable voltage to your system, including multiple PCI Express expansion cards. Modularized cable management lets you connect only the cables you need to reduce the amount of clutter, improving airflow. All cables for hooking up and powering your components are included and are sleeved in black nylon mesh for a clean look. A large, whisper-quiet 14cm ball bearing 1900RPM cooling fan keeps the power supply cool and operating at peak performance.

3 out of 5 eggsWhat's up with Sata Power connectors?

Pros: Molular - Never buy anything that's not modular.
And this one is almost completely modular.
The only hard connected cable is the 24 pin MB connector, which everyone needs.

Cons: Only two SATA power connectors. So you'd better only have 6 SATA drives, and they'd better be in a 3 drives close together, and another 3 drives close together configuration.
My computer isn't set up that way. I have two SATA drives in one place, and 4 in another. (I need another power connector)

I don't bother with rebates. At the beginning of the year I bought 3 items from Newegg with rebates. I received the money for all of the them. PNY at 6 weeks. the others at 4 months. I hate rebates.

Other Thoughts: I've built a small number of PCs, so I have extra cables lying around.
I pulled out some cables from Antec, Silverstone, and Silencer power supply. The color of the cables where you plug the cable into the SATA drive were all the same. However, where they plug into the Power Supply itself, they were different. The bottom line being that I have to buy another SATA power cable from Thermaltake, even though I have a bunch of brand new extras ones lying around. You'd think that this was standardized.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm the first?

Pros: Well this power supply replaced a 400w power supply by Ultra. The upgrade was necessary because I needed the extra juice for my new gtx 260. I have a m2n-e motherboard with the dual-core 3.0g amd processor. Hooked everything up, said my little prayer that I didn’t do anything stupid, and turned it on. So far I have been nothing but extremely pleased. Granted I have owned it for about a week, so I won’t tell you about how reliable it has been, but I will tell you that my old watts draw on the same system with the ultra was about 240w and the new draw is 160w. (This thing is paying for itself). Also I was very impressed with the connectors. For example the SATA power connectors to the drives were designed in such a way as to fit very snuggly, helping to insure they don’t pop out accidentally.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Overall, found it to be a thoughtful design all round. Even the packaging it came it was fancy; Made the girl comment, which is rare!
