The Thermaltake Black Widow 850W power supply just looks cool! Too bad it'll remain hidden in your case. Sturdily built, it’s SLI and Dual-Core ready, but really shines in CrossFire testing! Most important in any PSU is the 12V rail supply. Most components pick up off of that rail. The Toughpower has one +12V rail so you're guaranteed crisp, clean power delivery. The rail can handle 18 Amps of overload before a safety shutdown occurs.

The mirror effect housing silent 140mm fan and Noise Preventive Silicon Pad help reduce vibrations and noise emissions, increase airflow and cooling and, thus improve performance.

One Main connector (20 + 4 pin), one 12V (8+4 pin), eight peripherals, six SATA, two Floppy, and four PCI-E connectors will cover all your components. Four next generation +12V rails support high-end PC systems and twinned graphics cards. This is a heavy-duty, serious power supply designed to bring you enough power for any potential configuration and a great value. Get one today, and let your foes feel the power!

  • newegg ATX12V v2.2 Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V v2.2 standard, the Thermaltake Black Widow W0319RU power supply provides maximum power stability to drive the processors as well as other system components.

5 out of 5 eggsBeen using for years

Pros: Modular
Cheap
850 watt

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: I have been using one of these for about 6 ears in an old system. Im surprised it is still available. I purchased mine from best buy years ago. Never had one issue with it in all this time.

5 out of 5 eggsbetter than I expected

Pros: Building pc's for 20 years. For the price - I was expecting lower quality (you get what you pay for), but the price was heavily discounted as being "last year model". I received a very heavy duty unit with solid components and I love the modular cable system so I don't have to clog up my box with useless cables. I leave out the ones I don't need.

Cons: A bit large to fit inside on of my older cases. It's only one rail, but I could have chose another if I felt too it was too important.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again, that's the bottom line.

1 out of 5 eggsNo wonder Newegg was selling these at 33% off...

Pros: What?

Cons: Ran it on a power supply tester just to make sure everything worked before powering on system for the first time. Once connected in my system, I hit the power button on my PC for the first time and it powered up for 2 seconds before shutting off. Only way to get it to come on was by resetting the master switch on the back of the PSU. Once I did that, everything was working fine. I put my computer to sleep and then went to bed.

Go to power my system up the next day and nothing. SERIOUSLY? I reset the master switch on the back of the PSU and then my PC powers on. After tinkering some more, I put the PC to sleep just to see what happens in the morning. Here I am today powering on my PC and it comes on for 2 seconds and then powers off. Have to reset the switch again. NOT COOL. Back to running my old PSU right now. My system is a mess because there's so much hardware and so many wires all over the place and now it will have to stay that way for the next few days while I wait for another PSU to arrive. And you know what? I have to PAY to ship this GARBAGE back to Newegg so I can get a refund! HA! Never again Thermaltake... NEVER AGAIN!

Other Thoughts: Highly disappointed. Spend your money on another brand, folks. I should have thoroughly read all of the reviews first before I bought it. I thought, "nah, couldn't happen to me!" This is perfect and it's on SALE! Oh wow!

Thank you so much for this experience Thermaltake. How about you send me an address so I can forward you the receipt so you can pay to ship it back to Newegg? Would you be so kind?

5 out of 5 eggsWorks really well. Good job Thermaltake.

Pros: Easy to install, CPU, GPU already attached to the PSU. All the wires have a nice little plastic net cover over them, makes it look aesthetically better than the plain wires itself. PSU works fine, I'm OC'd to 4.7GHz and have the Evga 670FTW GPU and Evga Z77 FTW Mobo. All is good.

Cons: Short CPU wire. I have a full tower case, had to buy an extension otherwise the wire would hang over my GPU and sit in front of my CPU cooler.

Other Thoughts: Cheap PSU, everything works fine on it so far. Had a Cooler Master Silent Pro Hybrid 850W, after 3 unsuccessful RMA's, 2 months and CM accusing my Mobo of being defective I bought this instead and it works! I'm OC'd to 4.7GHz and have the Evga 670FTW GPU and Evga Z77 FTW Mobo. All is good.
Congrats Thermaltake, you guys are getting up there.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Modular, quiet

Cons: I mounted this PS in a Cooler Master HAF X and the cables are so short that the 12v Rail could only reach the motherboard socket, ASRock Z77 Extreme6, by crossing the board and covering the PCI Express slots!!!

Other Thoughts: I think Thermaltake should at least provide extensions rather than assume that everyone will be top mounting the power supply.

3 out of 5 eggs5 year warranty.. died in 3 weeks

Pros: 1) semi-modular...:/
So the truth is I actually prefer this semi-modular design. The only no modular parts were the ATX connectors and the PCI/e Connectors....which are basically necessary to be plugged in at all times. And if those are modular. They can't be disconnected... Which limits the chance of u losing the most necessary parts.

The non modular cables are ur molex. And other stuff.

2) silence! Yes I love the quietness .

3) huge fan

4) lots of power for upgrades.. Lots!

5) powered up first time..( it's supposed to, so ...ehh)
6) long wires... But this was a bad thing also (depends on your case). But this was also a good thin. It reached everything on my huge Xaser 3 by Thermaltake ( it's old)

7) 5 year Thermaltake warranty

8) how could I forget the price....

Cons: 1***) died in 3 weeks. (Failed paper clip test)
2) molex connector ???.built too strong!.. They pushed the pins out of the other sockets.
3) long wires. (Depends on case) I have an old case with no cable management holes or removable motherboard tray.. So these wires remain so cluttered . U can see the beauty of the beast within.

Other Thoughts: Even though it died... It did come with a 5 year warranty. It is a hassle to send back to the store... But hey, at least they offer a free 5 year. warranty, am I right??

2) while it worked... It was a 5/5 beast. I loved this thing. And the price!!! Wow. How could u not. If I filled out the review last week.. I would've given it 5 stars.

3) I recommend this product. I'm sure it was just my specific psu. That had a defect. Not all of them can have defects.. Right? Otherwise.. They wouldn't be any good reviews. When I get it back from Thermaltake. If it dies with in 6 months. I'm coming back here and putting out a warning: DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF $hi* .. But until then. This is reality, you never know. It might work perfectly for maybe 10 years :P (ya.. Right). But ya Neva no.

2 out of 5 eggsBad warranty

Pros: Worked great while it lasted

Cons: 5 year warranty is stated on the side of the PSU isnt entirely accurate.

Other Thoughts: Bought this power supply around 2 years ago from Best Buy. Was working great until about a week ago I came home to smell smoke and see that one of the PCI-E ports had started to melt in the back.

Concerned, I called Thermaltake thinking "It will be alright there is an obvious 5-year warranty on the device and they will take care of me." This was not the case, I called and spoke with a guy named Arthur who was rude and didn't want to offer any help. Kept stating I needed an original receipt that was printed on thermal paper which deteriorates in about 90 days. I gladly offered credit card statements from around the time of purchase as well as S/N for the part.

I'm very disappointed and will probably start looking elsewhere for my PC parts because if this is the type of customer service that's offered, then they don't want my service.
