5 out of 5 eggsGreat Modular PSU

Pros: Lasted a long time! Paid $55 for it with rebate. Great Price! Modular. Always a plus. Never had any issues in over 2 years of usage. Trust me, reviewers tend to post after a few months of ownership. I waited for mine so you can fully see the value in it. No DOA, no issues.

Cons: None that I can think of at the moment.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked great ... until it didn't

Pros: Very well built,
Semi-Modular
24 pin and 8 pin cables long enough for large cases
Quiet

Cons: Died after 2.5 years
2 of 6/8 pin connectors for graphics cards are not modular.

Other Thoughts: Placed RMA request today. Will update to inform whether this was easy or if it was made a hassle.

Hopefully the PSU didn't fry everything else on it's way out, I'm sure Thermaltake won't cover that, even if the cause was their faulty product.

2 out of 5 eggsDied on me

Pros: It was good while it lasted.

Cons: Died after a little less than 2 years. One day I turned on my PC and heard a loud popping noise and that was it. Did a few tests and the PSU was completely dead and it also burned one of my RAM sticks. Really disappointed.

Other Thoughts: This was a huge disappointment especially since it also caused damage to my RAM stick that I also have to replace.

3 out of 5 eggsGood PS but died earlier than expected

Pros: Very quiet built quality looks excellent. Modular cable design and plenty of connectors.

Cons: Died after two years for no obvious reason. For the price it did not last very long. I have had cheaper PSs that lasted much longer.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry for the inconvenience that the PSU caused you. Please contact our customer service department at 1-800-988-1088 or support@thermaltakeusa.com so that we may assist with getting you a replacement through our RMA services.

3 out of 5 eggsGood but Died

Pros: Worked very well and didn't give me any problems for the first year of work.

Cons: Died after a little over a year of use. There was no indication or reason that it should've died--it just did. Also, there is no indicator light to tell whether it is receiving power or not, so it was very difficult to originally tell what the problem with my computer was

Other Thoughts: It was good while it while it lasted.

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsFailed after ~2 years, good until then

Pros: Mostly modular, except for the main 20+4 ping adapter.
High efficiency.
Good, steady power.

Cons: Died after a little under 2 years of use. No warning, no fluctuations of power in my house. Just randomly died one day before I had a work project due.

Other Thoughts: Depending on whether other people are having problems with this product in the long run, I'd be wary. Was fine until sudden death.
