5 out of 5 eggsStory Time

Pros: Can support 2x Xeon E5-2600 series CPUs, and a full 16 sticks of 4 GB RAM.

Cool, quiet, and stable. No issues.

Cons: ATX power connectors were put on backwards, but that's me being very, very, VERY scrutinizing. Not a real problem.

Other Thoughts: There's a story to this. We recently purchased 64 Thermaltake TPX-1275M power supplies. Some of them would work properly, but a staggering percentage of them (to ballpark it, ~75%) wouldn't power on the system properly when more than 2 RAM modules were installed. It would constantly cycle power, not even POST'ing correctly.

We got in contact with Thermaltake directly (big shoutout to Dhony), and they agreed to exchange all 64 PSUs for the TPG-1200M. The entire time they were very courteous and understanding, advancing us two units to test before we decided to commit to the exchange.

Overall our experience with these supplies, and with Thermaltake in general, has been nothing less than stellar. I would rate 6 stars if possible. Unfortunately, Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggstuff power 1200

Pros: Modular design, long cables, nice looking and well built, very consistent power output. Like that the fan remains on until power supply cools down after use.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Useing this with 3-way sli and physics card works great holds consists power output even on long overclocking sessions. Had lost two previous power supplies while trying to overclock system.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of power

Pros: Modular design. Great performance power wise. LOTS of power connections.

Cons: Pricey. I am not knocking an egg as this is expected for a good brand, great options.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why others are complaining of lack of power. I am running 3 way sli, 17 fans, ssd, two dvd rom, hard drive, cooler and all video cards with ZERO issues,

1 out of 5 eggsProblem supporting more than two High End graphic card.

Pros: It has a rating of 1200 watts. Does not work with more than two high end graphic card.

Cons: Problem supporting more than two High End Graphic Card.
System power itself down after 10 minutes with three or more high end graphic card. Do not recommend this product.
Order another power supply by cooler master 1200 watts silent pro Gold. No problem at all. It's holding well for now.

Other Thoughts: Not recommended if you have more than two high end graphic card. (overload problem)

1 out of 5 eggsBad luck or bad QC

Pros: Solid power delivery on the working unit, Sharp looking if you want it visible in your PC case.

Cons: One of two units died in a puff of smoke within hours of use, had to pay $20+ shipping to return it to Newegg, so the replacement was bought via Prime shipping from you-know-who

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these units to power two new mining rigs. My first machine has a 1200w Corsair PSU, but those were sold out when I went to order parts for the new machines. One of the Thermaltake units is still working fine, but the other failed within a day. Might just be bad luck, but I still bought a Corsair 1200w Gold as a replacement , as I haven't had any problems with that unit. I'll probably avoid both Thermaltake PSUs and heavy items shipped from Newegg in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: runs cool and supplies the power I need for fx 9590 and radeon 7990.

Cons: hard to manage wires even as its partly modular.

Other Thoughts: I had a 1000w psu before I decided to get this one, and it would run very hot. To the point where my entire box including the video card would get very hot. The temp since Ive installed this psu is much much cooler. I would recommend it to anyone with a high end computer.

4 out of 5 eggsStable, Reliable power

Pros: Stable, Reliable, modular, and the form factor is smaller/shorter than most other PSU's at this wattage.

Cons: Cables are ugly. What's worse is that you can't use other modular cables besides Thermaltakes. The inside of my computer isn't as clean as I'd like, mainly because of the cables that come with this PSU. I'm actually really upset about that.

4 out of 5 eggsJust what I was hoping for

Pros: 1200w of Power, easy to install, modular, decently priced for the wattage

Cons: Not completely modular but knew that going into it. The cables can take some time to configure. I would've like to see an arrangement of different lengths come with the kit but what are you going to do.
