5 out of 5 eggsGreat power and stability

Pros: It is high output power supply, modular cables and optimal size.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Well I had a spark and small flame in my PC due to power adapter that couldn't handle current of Corsair H100i. However after clearing the burned plastic and connector, resoldering H100i wires all was good to go - no damage to power adapter or to any component.

3 out of 5 eggsOne down, we'll see..

Pros: It's a Thermaltake..
It's a 1200 Watt PS
When it works, it works well..

Cons: First one ordered died after 2 weeks of use, not sure why. It's rated for 1200 watts with 80+ amps on the main 12v rail. I was drawing at MOST 650 watts total, and something like(I'm guestimating to the high end) 65 amps on the main 12v rail. No reason for it to have failed, so it scared me when the lights in my house flickered; the computer popped and wouldn't cut back on.

Other Thoughts: Luckily, after a lengthy wait on an RMA(Not Neweggs fault to my knowledge) I installed the replacement and the computer booted up like nothing had ever happened. As a matter of fact, this review is the first thing I'm doing after the boot-up.

I'm satisfied with newegg once again, mainly because after the lengthy wait on the replacement I was surprised to see a free gift in the replacement box. Thanks newegg!

2 out of 5 eggsIncorrect cords shipped, I'd like this corrected.

Pros: Looks good sitting in my rig..

Cons: I haven't used it yet, it's half way installed.. I say half way due to the fact that it was shipped with 6 pin to PSU SATA cords, the PSU is modular with 8 pin female intake holes. The 4 pin fan cords are also 6 pin to PSU, everything else is fine; and it looks like an awesome power supply. Thus I give it two eggs as I've always been happy with Thermaltake in the past.

Other Thoughts: If at all possible I'd appreciate the correct cords shipped to me, rather than having to send the entire unit back. This is the PSU I want, and it seems to be in working condition; though I haven't powered it up. I'm more than happy to ship the 6 pin cords back once the 8pin cords arrive.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We apologize about any inconveniences you have incurred thus far. Please contact Customer Service and we can have just the pins replaced for you through warranty service.

5 out of 5 eggsAll is well so far

Pros: -Ordered Wednesday night, arrive Friday morning, doesn't effect score but you gotta love early deliveries.
-Sealed and well packaged, both by Thermaltake and Newegg
-Came with instructions, while I don't need them its nice to see Thermaltake providing a helping hand.
-Rubber absorbent corners that go between the case and the PSU when screws are used.
-Silent so far (haven't stress tested it)
-$188 with product code, that is a steal!

Cons: -The rubber absorbent corners weren't very sticky for application but its not a big deal they can keep an egg.
-No sticker makes me sad :(

Other Thoughts: -Gonna leave her on all day just in case, but all seems well to me.
-Upgraded from a very old Cooler Master GX 650W, It was old and loud and had to go.
-This is actually an anticipatory upgrade for the 780gtx I plan to get when they have a sale.
-I will upgrade this with any issues that occur if they occur, until then I highly recommend it, 5 eggs!

5 out of 5 eggsStory Time

Pros: Can support 2x Xeon E5-2600 series CPUs, and a full 16 sticks of 4 GB RAM.

Cool, quiet, and stable. No issues.

Cons: ATX power connectors were put on backwards, but that's me being very, very, VERY scrutinizing. Not a real problem.

Other Thoughts: There's a story to this. We recently purchased 64 Thermaltake TPX-1275M power supplies. Some of them would work properly, but a staggering percentage of them (to ballpark it, ~75%) wouldn't power on the system properly when more than 2 RAM modules were installed. It would constantly cycle power, not even POST'ing correctly.

We got in contact with Thermaltake directly (big shoutout to Dhony), and they agreed to exchange all 64 PSUs for the TPG-1200M. The entire time they were very courteous and understanding, advancing us two units to test before we decided to commit to the exchange.

Overall our experience with these supplies, and with Thermaltake in general, has been nothing less than stellar. I would rate 6 stars if possible. Unfortunately, Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggstuff power 1200

Pros: Modular design, long cables, nice looking and well built, very consistent power output. Like that the fan remains on until power supply cools down after use.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Useing this with 3-way sli and physics card works great holds consists power output even on long overclocking sessions. Had lost two previous power supplies while trying to overclock system.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of power

Pros: Modular design. Great performance power wise. LOTS of power connections.

Cons: Pricey. I am not knocking an egg as this is expected for a good brand, great options.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why others are complaining of lack of power. I am running 3 way sli, 17 fans, ssd, two dvd rom, hard drive, cooler and all video cards with ZERO issues,

1 out of 5 eggsProblem supporting more than two High End graphic card.

Pros: It has a rating of 1200 watts. Does not work with more than two high end graphic card.

Cons: Problem supporting more than two High End Graphic Card.
System power itself down after 10 minutes with three or more high end graphic card. Do not recommend this product.
Order another power supply by cooler master 1200 watts silent pro Gold. No problem at all. It's holding well for now.

Other Thoughts: Not recommended if you have more than two high end graphic card. (overload problem)

1 out of 5 eggsBad luck or bad QC

Pros: Solid power delivery on the working unit, Sharp looking if you want it visible in your PC case.

Cons: One of two units died in a puff of smoke within hours of use, had to pay $20+ shipping to return it to Newegg, so the replacement was bought via Prime shipping from you-know-who

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these units to power two new mining rigs. My first machine has a 1200w Corsair PSU, but those were sold out when I went to order parts for the new machines. One of the Thermaltake units is still working fine, but the other failed within a day. Might just be bad luck, but I still bought a Corsair 1200w Gold as a replacement , as I haven't had any problems with that unit. I'll probably avoid both Thermaltake PSUs and heavy items shipped from Newegg in the future.
