5 out of 5 eggsEfficient quiet power

Pros: 42 Amp on 12v so its enough to power any of the current high end single GPU cards and some of the mid level and lower in dual card setups.

It's very quiet and 80+ Golds saves me da monies!

Cons: Cables are a little short if you have a very large case though I suppose most with a large case would go for something more than a 550W unit

Other Thoughts: Overall I am impressed this unit is nearly silent and it's powering my moderatly overclocked i7 2600 and GTX 660 with ease.

Keep in mind 550W and 42 Amp are good numbers for a system similar to mine however if you are running an AM3+ or 2011 and plan on doing some heavy overclocking and overvolting you will need more power than this.

Simply put if you are going for 5Ghz on an FX or Sandy E and have two 7970's or 670/680's dont even think about it go for more.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Single 12V rail, gold certified, plenty of connectors, good cable covers, long 5 year warranty, Active PFC. Just about everything that's good in a mid range power supply.

Cons: Not modular, pricy without a discount or rebate.

Other Thoughts: This power supply works well with a Z77 motherboard and a i5 3570 processor with 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. It powers a GTX 660 without any issues and has two 6+2 connectors for other video cards. I know from experience that Thermaltake honors their warranty. This power supply is a good buy especially with a discount or rebate.
