1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy!! Junk

Pros: Not any.

Cons: Cables a\hard to work with. The flat cables are hard to get tucked in and laid out neatly. Mine wouldn't even power up my computer. I'm using an old OCZ 600W bronze rated and this gold rated 750W won't even work unless I unhook the all the drives and use only the video card and motherboard power.

Other Thoughts: Bad quality. I've never had a bad power supply right out of the box. I've installed dozens this is a first.

5 out of 5 eggsEggcellent PSU

Pros: Very nice most modular PSU. To all the negative nancies, Duds happen. Let Newegg or Thermaltake fix your issue before you give a product one egg immediately. It really does have the potential to effect the sale of product that probably return in few than 1/100 of times. On a properly working one this PSU is so quite I no long hear ANY fans turning in my PC thank PWM. Also another piece of advice if you get bad service from one person don't blame an entire company. Just call back in the morning and try to speak to an American ;)

Cons: All that extra money I get back with the rebate.... Oh wait, that's a good thing.

Other Thoughts: Buy this PSU.

1 out of 5 eggsFirst 1 DOA...Second 1 Dead in 1 Mmonth

Pros: It is very quiet and powers my R9 290X.

Cons: I ordered the first one and it arrived DOA. Did the RMA for a new replacement. Replacement works fine.

Just today, I went to power on and all it did was a 1 click sound. It will no longer power up. I tried it in another computer. I had to install my old PSU in this pc which I am writing this review on.

I regret buying this PSU and wish I didn't cut the UPC code for the rebate. Now I need to deal with Thermaltake directy which will require me pay shipping and handling to send the PSU for RMA.

3 out of 5 eggsPSU is silent unless upside down

Pros: It seemed great and would suit my needs and seemed quiet

Cons: I mounted the PSU upside down with the fan facing the bottom of my case as it has a vent (in a NZXT S340) and the fan constantly makes a clicking noise.

Other Thoughts: If you're mounting this with fan facing anywhere but upside down, I'm sure its great. Otherwise, the clicking is very loud and annoying and not worth the trouble.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We at Thermaltake apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
There seems to be an issue with the fan bearing and is causing the the noise.
We can your unit replaced through our warranty service. Please contact Customer Service to troubleshoot and obtain RMA instructions.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible, not advertised output

Pros: Worked just fine with low powered parts. 450W

Cons: I upgraded my gpu from a r9 280 to a r9 390 under the impression I had 750W to work with. While using the new 390, an fx 8320, 1 hdd, 1 disc drive, 1 stick of 8gb ram, with no overclock hovering around 550W on max load it gave out on me. I was playing the witcher 3 which would point to using the full load, and as a result my motherboard (Asrock fatality performance 970) is fried, my hdd is wiped, disc drive broken and now out of a system until RMA hopefully kicks in properly. Thermaltake also has a wall of terrible policies making it frustrating to get your rma in. (They actually state that if the box is damaged during transit they'll deny you.)

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this, I got it on sale thinking it's gold rating meant good quality but apparently this can't handle anything above 500W. Stick with the better brands (EVGA, Corsair, and Antec)

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We at Thermaltake apologize for the negative experience thus far.
Within our policy, it states: "Thermaltake reserves the right to revoke your RMA and return the defective product immediately if the product was damaged during shipping or if the package was shipped as COD"
In your case, if the power supply itself was damaged (dents or loose intenal components) during shipping, the RMA DEPARTMENT will return the unit back to you.
Please contact Customer Service to obtain RMA instructions to have your PSU replaced through warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

Pros: Awesome semi-modular power supply. Some complaints it's not fully modular, but what does it matter if you will always be using the motherboard and cpu plugs? Kind of dumb the PCI E plug ends are red, but not a deal breaker. Cable lengths are more than long enough for use in a full tower. The cables aren't actually round, they are more like the ribbon style of the old school IDE cables, but i found them easier to run. My case is setup to hide cables behind the main panel so it made things much easier

Cons: Maybe the red PCI E plugs, but it's just a color.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good price for a 750w power supply.
Flat cables reduced clutter inside computer case.
Had all the right connectors that I needed.
Quiet fan, makes less noise than my video card fan.

Cons: All the wires on the cables are black, which can make it difficult to measure test voltages if needed.

Other Thoughts: This was a replacement for an old 750w Thermaltake Power Supply that died after about 10 years, I found that they usually don't last any longer than that.
