1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: None

Cons: This failed right out of the box RMA shouldn't cost me a dime to return a defective item all cost should be to the seller in this case newegg this was sent to me from Tennesee but I have to return it to Whittier CA I hate return shipping cost which just adds fuel to the fire

Other Thoughts: Thermaltake should stick to making cooling products

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggsSatisfied? Yeah. Happy? Not exactly.

Pros: It comes (mostly) as advertised. Solid build quality and great quality cables. Can't complain about that!

Cons: The cables don't come as advertised. In the image it shows the PCIe connector is red on the PSU end and black on the GPU end. It's red on both ends. I have a build with black and blue accents and I bought this PSU with that in mind. I'm pretty disappointed it couldn't even come with the right colored cables. I'll be contacting Thermaltake.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm.

Pros: Running a R9-290x 8GB video card, 32 BG of board memory, 7- 120mm fans, 5 on the case, 2 on the CPU cooler in push pull config, 4 LED lit. 5 HD's and 2 Blu Ray burners. Nothing overclocked, and it works like a charm. Always loved the modular cable supplies, because you only have to connect what cables you need. It's quiet too.

Cons: None really, except the mother board and the CPU power cables are not detachable, and should not be. They are a standard connection in all computers.

Other Thoughts: If I ever need another PS for my other computers, I will buy this one for them. Hope it's no time soon though.

1 out of 5 eggsDamaged from day 1... Buy another brand

Pros: It does work. Maybe I just wake up on the wrong foot that day...

Cons: Makes a terrible noise on the fan from day 1 and I can not use the warranty, not able to refund or replacement because I'm in Latin America.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We apologize that the PSU was not functional. Please contact Customer Service. You will be connected to the US service team; however, we can forward your information to the regional manager for additional assistance.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Power Supply Unit

Pros: Thermaltake PSU's Features + Performance + NewEgg's Price = Irresistable Purchase!

Features:
- stable performance and excellent reliability
- power efficiency and energy savings
- modular design reduces cable clutter and increases the airflow
- flat cables provides flexibility of cable routing thereby allowing cables to run along the back of motherboard and to be brought in the front as required
- silent cooling (you can barely hear the fan)
- warranty period of 5 years
- customer service

Performance:
- Since installation, it has been nearly two months now and the PSU is operating silently and smoothly.

Price:
- $70 (after MIR: $20)

In addition to a user manual, 1 power cord, 4 x mounting screw, and 4 x cable straps, the package contains a cable case that include following cables:

1 x Main Power Connector (to Motherboard), Black color (24 pin)
1 x ATX 12V Connector (to CPU), Black color (4+4 pin)
1 x Floppy Connector, Black color (4 pin)
4 x Peripheral Connector, Black color (4 pin)
4 x PCI-E Connector (to GPU), Red color (6+2 pin)
12 x SATA Connector (to SSD, HDD, ODD), Black color (5 pin)

As I had an issue with the mail-in rebate claim, I contacted Thermaltake's USA Customer Service. I received a friendly reply from them after a week stating that my issue has been resolved.

This is my first purchase of Thermaltake's product. As I am very satisfied with Thermaltake's PSU as well as their customer service, I would not hesitate in buying Thermaltake's products for my future needs.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: In my computer case, the CPU cable fall short by few inches when I tried to route my cable along the back of motherboard and bring it in front from the top of motherboard. However, this was not a major issue for me. So no change in my rating.

5 out of 5 eggs1st PSU I've seen with ALL individually sleeved cables

Pros: I was looking long and hard for a PSU that didn't have that ugly mesh sleeving covering the brightly multi-colored cables on the ATX and CPU connectors as well as most PCIe connectors found on almost ALL power supplies, even high end fully modular brands like Corsair and Antec are guilty of it. It's 2015 guys take heed of this and duplicate. Makes all the difference in the world when installing in a windowed case with LED lighting. Quality is good so far. It's quiet and handles my overclocked GTX 780Ti + i7-3770k very well.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I know the TR2 line of PSUs are sketchy but the Toughpower line is rock solid so far. I have a 1350w and a 1200w as well although these were built with the mesh sleeve ugliness from ancient times. Hopefully the black individually sleeved cabling thing will catch on and become the standard in the future.
