5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget PSU

Pros: Comes with all the connectors a builder who isn't doing a super-high end build would need, and the PSU itself is built out of quality components. Can easily push modest-to-mid-high end builds.

Cons: Not modular, but not a deal-breaker.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't look fancy and it's not modular, but it works and that's what counts. Not really much else to say about it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Great PSU. I've had this for nearly 5 years, running multiple builds with this psu. This thing is rock solid and still going strong. Never had any coil whine on any card.

Cons: Only thing missing would be an 80+ Power Efficiency certification, but that doesn't take away from the review.

5 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: I got it pretty cheap, it worked and seems to hold the voltages in spec. it has 2 PCIe 6 pin connectors for some of the larger video cards. These seem to have mixed reviews so I will revise later if need be the Sata plugs are separate wires to make it better for spacing of the optical and hdds.

Cons: it is not 80% efficient, it is not modular

Other Thoughts: I got this for a budget build that I might later want to put a large video card in but didn't want to spend the cash on an Antec or Coursiar Sea sonic etc.... in fact this was less than half the price of them at the time I got it

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect replacement for Dell Studio 540 PSU

Pros: -Cheap
-Plenty of Power for Dell Studio 540 with upgraded video &
memory
- Runs quieter than stock 350w PSU

Cons: - Power Cord is short!
- Sheathing would be great - used cable ties to bundle - no
biggie for a band-aid PSU

Other Thoughts: Seems reliable enough - working on new build - this should hold me over for a few months until that comes together

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after just over 2 months

Pros: Was quite when it worked...

Cons: It came 4-start recommended, but mine failed after just over 2 months of operation-- complete failure, non-power up.

Other Thoughts: I bought this from NewEgg as a build-your-own-computer package deal, so NewEgg chose the parts that go together. I didn't undersize it. Nor did I overclock the PC, add a big graphics card or do anything else exotic that would pull excessive power from it. I assembled the PC from the package of parts ordered- nothing else. I know there was no power surge as there are other components attached to the same surge protector and they are still working correctly. I am currently attempting to get the manufacturer to replace the defective unit, if this is done I will change my review but as of now I recommend everyone stay away from this unit.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after < 2 months

Pros: It's a power supply. What, it had great plastic connectors & looked really snazzy? It either works or it doesn't.

Cons: It came 4-start recommended, but mine failed after < 2 months of operation-- complete failure, non-power up.

I bought this from NewEgg as a build-your-own-computer package deal, so NewEgg chose the parts that go together. I didn't undersize it. Nor did I overclock the PC, add a big graphics card or do anything else exotic that would pull excessive power from it. I assembled the PC from the package of parts ordered- nothing else. Also, no power surge issues. Very sensitive equipment was on the same circuit. I can't make generalizations-- bad ones slip through manufacturing and maybe I just got a bad one.
