2 out of 5 eggsNeeds lubrication

Pros: I bought two units and both have been working fine for years. The units are very quiet if they don't need lubrication. They worked after the hurricane Sandy, when some other PSUs refused to turn on, probably due to flaky mains power.

Cons: Both units became noisy after a few years of use. I had to open both of them and lubricate the fans with garage door lubricant. Both are quiet again. The device shows its age. Who needs so many molex and floppy connectors? And 2 SATA connectors are not enough for anything beyond the simplest setup (one hard drive and one optical drive).

Other Thoughts: I have other power supplies that have been working for years quietly, without requiring to be lubricated. I cannot recommend this unit to anyone.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Enough Power...

Pros: Sleek look.
Average Power Rating.
Extra SATA power connectors from Molex.

Cons: Its not really 400W...
ITS REALLY 375W...

Other Thoughts: I needed 400W, at least, to run a video card (when this is really 375W)... they lied... it won't last more than a month before it fries... DON'T BUY IF YOU NEED MORE POWER...

5 out of 5 eggs6 years trouble free!

Pros: Nice looking, quiet, and steady as can be.

Cons: Some of the connectors feel a little cheap.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this unit since 12/04 with no problems whatsoever. Once, I bought a new graphics card and was having issues, so I assumed the p/s was not up to the task. Wrong. The problem was the motherboard - replaced that and this thing has been humming along ever since...

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Low price, looks nice, and it powers the computer.

Cons: Not silent. VERY cheaply built - metal casing and connectors feel flimsy. Too many Molex connectors and not enough SATA connectors. One of the Molex connectors wouldn't fit on the optical drive, but I tried another one and it fit fine. One of the SATA connectors (of which there are only 2) broke when I connected it to the HDD. Used the other one and it was fine.

Other Thoughts: The only reason I bought this PSU to begin with was because of the mail-in rebate. I would not buy it again.
