4 out of 5 eggsIt's not 600 W.

Pros: Lots of connectors
Sufficient cable length
Quiet

Cons: It says 600 W, but that is Max, not RMS.
When you open the box, right on the label on the side of the supply is 420 W max. output. If you push it more than that, the overload circuit will trip. And it doesn't take long.

If you like to encode movies or songs and game at the same time, and you are running dual graphics, you need more power!!!

Other Thoughts: I gave this 4 eggs for them not advertising correctly, but it is a reliable product.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSu for the price

Pros: Got the PSU when it was on sale for my budget gaming build. It lasted 2 solid years without any issues on a graphic card that is known for being fairly power hungry for it's time. Cable length is good, you should have no issues reaching the cables anywhere they need to go.

When I needed to RMA for a new unit after the original burned out, Coolmax support replied to my ticket within the hour and had processed my RMA number within the next.

Cons: The unit's plug heads tend to be.. uncooperative. The rubber bends on the top and bottom of each head plug which are supposed to help plug or unplug the unit can be extremely uncooperative. Obviously, this is only an issue when you are installing and removing the unit.

Other Thoughts: I'm not positive whether this card is infact 600w as advertised, or 480. The box and Newegg page both list it as 600w, but the sticker on the side of the unit stated 480w. This was probably just a case of the wrong sticker being used, but it might be worth looking into with their support if your card has a higher requirement.

Considering their awesome customer support and 3 year warranty, if you can pick this unit up while its on sale you are pretty well off.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat psu for the price

Pros: Very good PSU for the price. Plenty of connectors.

Cons: If your using it in a bottom mount case the 24-pin may be short by 1" if you want to place wiring behind the MB also my PCI-E power supply was a tad too short also.

Other Thoughts: Specs:
AMD FX-4100 Quad Core 3.6GHz
8GB DDR3 1333
XFX DD Radeon HD 6870
Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2 MB
500GB SATA II 3.0Gb/s 7200RPM HDD

1 out of 5 eggsWorks great until game time....

Pros: looks great came with all the connectors it was supposed to. Great price.

Cons: Anytime I play a game after about 5 minutes computer shuts down and reboots. No game running, computer works fine. I got this psu to go with a 560ti 448. I put back in my old video card and the same thing happens! Computer works fine with old psu installed but it is only 450w so it wont run my 560ti 448. Will be returning and going with another brand.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Support

Pros: 3-year warranty, great support, decent price

Cons: It did die on me just short of 3 years (computer wouldn't power on reliably), but the RMA to Coolmax was easy and they replaced it with a brand new retail package (not some OEM or refurb unit).

Other Thoughts: Didn't buy from Newegg (got a rebate deal elsewhere), but just wanted to share my experience w/ Coolmax support. They even took my word on when it was purchased, not even asking for a copy of the original invoice, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsbest bang for the buck

Pros: Lets set things clear. Before i bought this PSU, every site seem to give me diferents specs. So here is what i got:
- 1x 20+4pin Motherboard Connector
- 1x 4+4pin CPU Connector (it does have a EPS 12V)
- 4x 15pin Sata Connectors
- 6x 4pin Molex Connectors
- 2x 6pin PCI Express Connectors

This is what i got right out of the box. Dual 12V rails, with each one of 18 and 17A.

Runs quite, cool and stable

Cons: coolmax site not giving correct information about the connectors

Other Thoughts: Great power supply for gamming. My current system is

- GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R
- Intel Core2Quad Q9550
- 4Gb DDR2 800 RAM
- Samsung 500Gb Sata II HD
- HIS IceQ 4+ 4870 1Gb
- LG DVD Writer
- 3 80mm Case Fans

Everything is at stocked clock. and working beatiful.
