Pros: Cheap

Cons: I always hear a noise from this power supply. And, when I turn my speaker louder, then the quality of the sound will be vary bad. I pretty sure this problem is caused by power supply.

4 out of 5 eggsStill working

Pros: Bought this power supply when I was upgrading to a new graphics card back in 2008 and it's still working away

Cons: After some time the fan started to make a whining noise, so I replaced the fan

Other Thoughts: Overall other than just wear in tear the power supply is great.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked Perfect

Pros: Purchased for a customer that had a blown PSU in a big box retail chain purchased computer. Did the job and was easy to install.

Cons: Lacks appropriate amount of SATA power connections
No converter/adapter provided

Other Thoughts: Looking for a cheap mid watt PSU this is worth a shot. Can't say yet on the longevity, but so far so good.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: good price

Cons: fairly short life

Other Thoughts: I purchased this PSU in August 2012 and discovered today that my PC won't power on. I replaced the Coolmax power supply with a spare I had and the computer works again. I would expect just about any power supply to last more than a year and a half.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU for the price.

Pros: Cheap and reliable.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've had this PSU for just over a year, running 24/7, and it's been very stable. Keeps case cool with just one intake fan and no additional exhaust fans.

5 out of 5 eggsFingers Crossed

Pros: Very inexpensive. Was apparently enough power to get my basic computer to work with additional video card. For this kind of money, it's a win if it works at all.

Cons: Just 2 SATA power connections, but that was all I needed for this machine.

I was as scared as everybody else by the reviews about overheating, but at least so far, everything is running perfectly cool. Granted, I don't need 500w. Probably less than 300, to be perfectly honest, though the video card said minimum 350. So, I'm not taxing this thing much. Will update the review if the fan gives out or I encounter an overheating problem in the future.

1 out of 5 eggsPlastic melted

Pros: High Wattage

Cons: The black plastic near the power supply plug pins melted. Thankfully I noticed the smell and acted in time.

Other Thoughts: Brought this in november of 2009, yes 2009. It worked for a couple of months till the plastic melted.

I would not recommend getting this.
