5 out of 5 eggsworks great, small size

Pros: fits nicely in my small shuttle type box, It's been running almost non-stop for over a year now without a problem.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I searched this PS out because I needed a smaller size to fit in my Aero Cool box.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed first time used

Pros: If you are on budget and slowly acquiring parts to make a PC, please test this device within 30 days of purchase from Newegg. Power supply failed due to low output voltage. Unable to completely power motherboard and other devices.

Cons: Since these is 3 years warranty manufacturer is the only option for replacement. Hope Coolmax expedite replacement.

Other Thoughts: Power supply appeared to be well build with durable cables.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far Excellent

Pros: First of all the semi-modular design works excellent for me it eliminates about 6 extra cables for me. The 140mm cooling fan seems to do a great job the construction seems great. I tested the power rails even voltage all the way across. I am an industrial electrician and I believe that coolmax did a great design with making this PSU. I see a few bad reviews about the PSU but I also get industrial components that come in DOA it's a chance you take whenever you buy an electrical component

Cons: Needs to come with screws first ever PSU I ever recieved without screws

Other Thoughts: I recommended this PSU to another friend and he has had his for 3 months with no issues

5 out of 5 eggsGreat powersupply

Pros: Got it on Shell Shocker sale with rebate. Rebate came in a reasonable time ( a bout 3-4 weeks). It is very easy to install just like any power supply. It looks better then my stock case power supply. It is well worth it if you can get it on sale.

Cons: It is a little bit louder than I thought it would be but besides that none.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Power Supply If the Price Is Right!

Pros: Ok I got this on sale. I took the Coolmax gamble and so far so good. It is 850w partial modular power supply. I think they do have lower customer service, but not enough people leave good feed back which cause this rating to go down. Most people will not leave a review unless they have a bad experience.

The cables are good wiring and the clips seem to be decent quality. More then enough cables for most units. It has 2 6pin pci and 2 6+2pin pci cables.

Over all i was worried about ordering it due to bad reviews after the fact. It was so cheap I had to try. Even if I do not get the rebate back it will be cheap and had free shipping.

Cons: First con is the packaging is not the best. It was in a simple box with some foam lining. Several of the last quality supplies I have purchased had 3 time the packaging in it. New egg had it such a big box with peanuts i did not know what it was at first. The egg made up for Coolmax's bad packaging.

Second major con is labeling. Most manufactures put a tag or writing on each wire saying what the lead is. Like PCI-E, Sata, and ect. Absolutely nothing on these wires. Luckily I new enough I had no issues. Newer people keep this in mind.

Third I gave them the benefit of the doubt due to slip saying instillation guide was online. I checked on it. Just a brief description. Nothing on the wiring.

The last thing I had an issue with was "No screws for the powersupply." I had some I could use thankfully. The box that was supposed to have them was empty. I keep all my extra screws from my other builds thankfully.

Other Thoughts: I believe this is a decent supply if the price is write and you know what you are doing. It more of a gamble with these guys; however, New egg, usually has great customer service to make up for these. I needed a cheap power supply for the wifes computer and figured why not try this one. If it failed I would send it back and get a quality one on sale.

1 out of 5 eggsExtremely Poor Quality

Pros: Essentially none.

Cons: Worked for about 5 hours, then began cutting out. In those 5 hours it also performed worse than the 500 watt I was replacing it with. Just avoid this altogether, buy something better.

Other Thoughts: Modular is nice, but I'd prefer that it actually worked.
