4 out of 5 eggsI must've gotten lucky!

Pros: Modular setup

Cons: Bad reviews!

Other Thoughts: Decent enough for the price, but if I had seen the reviews I would not have bought it. My original choice was sold out when I built the system so I went with this. It has held up for a month of constant usage so far. I hope it continues to last.

1 out of 5 eggsWon't last

Pros: None that i can find.

Cons: Isn't made to last. 3 months old and it let out a loud pop and went dead. For a cheap power supply it should still do better than that.

Other Thoughts: Go with a G Series power supply of some kind. They are built to last since they have gaming in mind. They might be 50 watts less but they run steady at what there rated and will last.

Pros: Modular design

Cons: Failed after 1 week. Went to a Corsair PSU and have had no trouble.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY

Pros: None. I can't be any more clear about this. There is nothing good about a PSU that doesn't work

Cons: DOA. I unboxed this product for the first time last night, sadly I had purchased it a few months ago and hadn't gotten around to testing it, plugged it in to an outlet I knew worked and flicked it on. The fan didn't spin. I tried plugging a lighting kit directly into it to make sure it wasn't just the fan that was broken. No dice. Now I can't return it to NewEgg because I bought it more than 30 days ago, and I *can* get it replaced by the manufacturer, but the S&H cost is almost as much as the PSU to begin with.

1 out of 5 eggsIt's dead Jim

Pros: Modular design, PCI-e connectors, quiet operation with the 140mm fan, and very tidy fiber mesh around all of the cables.

Cons: IT'S DEAD!!! It died after 3 months! That sucking sound you hear isn't the fan on this unit.. it's CoolMax's vacuum cleaning out your wallet!! I was playing Witcher 2, I game regularly, I have an SLI setup, apparently "SLI Ready" is interpretative. Anyhow, it's dead.. gone to the scrap piles found only post apocalypytic movies and video games. **PLAYS TAPS**

Other Thoughts: i5 3570k, ASRock z77 Extreme 4, 16GB PC2400 TRIDENT X, 2 x 120GB SSDs, 2 x Galaxy 660 Ti in SLI, red cold cathode, 5 system fans, and a partridge in a pear tree.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes its job

Pros: I bought this unit in October and it's still working just fine out of the box. Super cheap unit for 600w and it's 80 plus.

My system is
i7 2600k
Asus P8Z68 motherboard
Radeon 7870ghz
1TB 3.5 HD
120gb Corsair SSD

I always wait to review a product until I receive my rebate. I filled out the appropriate paperwork and mailed it in 3 months ago and my rebate arrived today.
Yeah it was a long wait but all mail in rebates take that amount of time.

Quality working product, rebate received. Looking forward to buying my next CoolMax product when the time calls for one, if the price is right ;)

Cons: SLI Ready? What good video cards have only 1 PCI-Express Connector anymore?

Any decent video card requires 2 power connectors and this power supply only has 2, just enough for 1 video card.

The AC power cord is incredibly short and will only work if your computer is up against your wall outlet.

Hardly Modular.

Other Thoughts: No Cons worth any egg reductions, for the price it was very worth it, I just had to use the old AC cord from my previous computer.

2 out of 5 eggsAvoid this PSU

Pros: This power supply had nice packaging and looks good (black). It's partly modular as well which is always a plus. Cable management is important to me. It ran a Q6600, GTX260, and 2 SATA devices for me without any problems.

Cons: After about a month, the PSU began to make an annoying squealing noise every time my computer was turned on that went away in less than 5 minutes. In BIOS, the voltages were unacceptably low. I'd have to assume this power supply is not built with quality parts, and therefore I would avoid it. It had good ratings when I bought it but has since tanked and it seems like every other person has a problem with it.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from this one. A power supply is the most important component of any computer build (IMO) and therefore you should get the best that your budget can afford.

1 out of 5 eggsWroked nicely while it lasted

Pros: Quiet operation

Cons: Died after running for about 10 times within 3 months of installation

Other Thoughts: The price after MIR lured me. May should have paid attention to other's reviews (

Cons: this is the second psu the first one capacitor blew out rma'd it, about a day after getting the second one it began a high pitch squeling.

Other Thoughts: do not buy this pay 20$ more and get a good name brand save yourself the hassle and the 30$ in return charges
