1 out of 5 eggsDON'T BUY

Pros: NO PROS--absolutely the worst power supply.

Cons: PURCHASED 11 of these for our store computers and 7 of these have been defective. After 3 months of use. Was a rebate item of $20.00. ONLY RECEIVED ONE REBATE.
I would not even chance this product if it were $1.00 and a 10 rebate was offered.

Other Thoughts: Return policy does not protect me AT ALL.
That was over $1000.00 investment in power supplies. SAVE YOUR MONEY... I had to replace this with a 750 power supply.

These came with a rebate. I sent out all the bar codes on the boxes... ONLY GOT ONE REBATE of $20.00. Since I cut UPC and mailed out to manufacture... these are not returnable because I cut the bar codes off. GO FIGURE.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Had the power supply for months with no issues.

Cons: After a few months, the +12V Value went all the down to around 7.9 Volts, which means anything that requires 8+ volts will auto shutdown the PC.

5 out of 5 eggsUnconventional Use

Pros: Works to power 2000 watt car amp in home.
I hooked it up to my car amplifier so I could add some deep bass to my home studio. It turned out quite well and the single 77 amp rail was enough to power my Soundstream TX1-2000D amplifier. I have it wired as 2 ohm load running 1300 watts RMS.

Cons: Taking this thing apart hurt my fingers.

1 out of 5 eggsABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY

Pros: Quiet.

Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE.

Cables are too short for a full case.

My first one failed after about 4 months of use. Had to pay shipping to RMA the unit.

Second one failed even sooner than the first unit. I asked the RMA department if they would be able to just refund my money and when they asked me for the first RMA# (which I didn't have), they said they couldn't locate the previous RMA information using my email address, name and address.

Other Thoughts: Stay away, seriously. You're better off just paying the $20 extra for a reliable PSU manufacturer than this garbage.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible on nearly all fronts

Pros: Price is about the only thing going for this product.

Cons: We ordered over 50 of these units back in November. By December we had already sent close to 10 of them back to Newegg for replacement. Fast forward a month and a half in and we now had to RMA nearly half of these units back to Newegg and coolmax and more are dying by the day. I suspect the issue is with the quality of the capacitors being used as our lab monitor has noted hearing a discernible crack just before the unit stops working. Considering it is a 900 watt power supply it should be able to handle the 700 watts that are being pulled easily but this does not seem to be the case.

Other Thoughts: Coolmax's RMAs process could be infinitely better. All are RMAs are processed via email and correspondence seems to be one email per day. If that wasn't enough it usually takes approximately 3 emails back and forth to get an RMA authorisation numberin order to send the product back. It has since been at least a week and a half since we sent the dead power supplies to coolmaxand have yet to receive replacementsor even an acknowledgement fat the broken ones have arrived. Beware
