3 out of 5 eggsCame with Printrbot Plus

Pros: Supplies power.
Runs cold.
Very light.
Hasn't died yet

Cons: Fan runs at full speed constantly.
I don't think it supplies 400W but that's just a assumption.
I don't trust this power supply to last long. It's too light weight feels too cheap to last.

Other Thoughts: This psu came with a Printrbot Plus that i bought about a month ago and has been running it alright. When i set the bed to 100C it would not reach it. It would get to 86C and would not go any higher which was quite a let down since it has to be at 100C to print ABS. The psu was running cold but all the wires supplying the printer power were getting quite warm which was a little concerning. I switched it over to a 620W psu from Corsair and it reaches 100C after some time. Its currently in a NAS server with an AMD FX-8350 and 4 HDD's and so far it has not failed. But we shall see.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap, but not very quiet

Pros: Light weight. Cheap. Got it cheaper else where than list price here.

Cons: It's not very quiet. 24+ db measured with an un-calibrated phone app.

Other Thoughts: Used this to replace a 120mm fan PSU that failed on a low power HTPC rig. It's been running for fine for 3 days, but it is noticable louder than the unit it replaced.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk

Pros: Newegg came through with a free return shipping label to RMA this thing.

Cons: The power supply is still a piece of junk.

Other Thoughts: It would be great if Newegg would test a few items like this for issues before releasing them to the public.
Sure would save a bunch of aggravation.

1 out of 5 eggsP/S Ripoff

Pros: Newegg finally sent me a paid return label so now if I can get into town this week, back it goes for refund.

Cons: As noted in first review, tested the lightweight P/S right out of box and tested "bad".

Other Thoughts: I wish Newegg could get someone to test/sample quality of items (at least that they work) before agreeing to sell or ship them but appears all we have is these reviews from those customers who have, in effect, paid to be a unknowing tester.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware RIP-OFF

Pros: 2 different Testers show bad (danger) power from get go right out of box.

Cons: Test before using. This unit shows dangerously low +12.2v readings and should not be used.

Other Thoughts: All you get on Egg ph service is will-call back recording. Online RMA give $13+ estimate to return for $19+ refund so of course its a waste of time and a ripoff of customers.

Ordered a lot but this first time I have had a BAD experience with Newegg and this may well be my last order.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of Junk

Pros: None.

Cons: Power Supply died within 20 minutes.

Other Thoughts: Installed the power supply today - got BIOs error message at boot, and PC locked up. Tried restarting PC several times with same result. Then PC died completely, and wouldn't power up at all. Had to put my old (weak) power supply back in to get it to work.
Newegg wants me to pay $13.39 shipping on the RMA to return their defective power supply.
C'mon Newegg you can do better than that.
I'll can buy from someone else next time.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Won't add much weight to your system.

Cons: Very light, feels empty. VERY cheap. Died within 30 minutes.

Other Thoughts: I put this into my system, booted and installed Windows, and not long after it died. I have used many inexpensive power supplies in budget system builds but this one is the worst. Spend an extra $10 and you'll get a much better power supply. This one shouldn't even be allowed to be sold on the market.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Power supply has not been used yet.

Cons: Power supply is probably OK but the advertised rebate process cannot be completed. The issue: you need to go to coolmax.com rebates to preregister for a rebate number but then you get Catch 22 - the Model I-400 is not listed as a power supply with a rebate. So...the rebate process cannot be completed and you have paid full price for a mediocre What gives??

1 out of 5 eggsvery noisy

Pros: Dirty cheap.

Cons: 1. This power is too noisy to be useful.
2. The CPU power cable is kind of short, and I have trouble reaching the CPU power connector on one of my case/motherboard configuration.

Other Thoughts: I gave it one egg because the computer actually boots with the power.
