5 out of 5 eggsAffordable Power supply

Pros: This product is great! my old one burned out so i had to get a new power supply. I found this product having all the specs that i needed for a remarkably low price. Runs pretty well, have not yet encounter any problems.

Cons: what can i complain to $20?

2 out of 5 eggsNoise Pollution is a Major Drawback

Pros: Small (uATX) and inexpensive has the makings for equipping a HTPC case. The motherboard power cables are bundled with a mesh like material which can not be said for most cheap power supplies. 1 SATA power connector will get you started

Cons: Though great in theory, the dual fans are quite the nuisance. They generate a large amount of noise making this unit unacceptable for HTPC use.

Other Thoughts: As a general note, typically as the fans get smaller the noisier they become. If you're looking for a HTPC power supply look elsewhere for you will be thoroughly dissatisfied by the noise output, even for the trade off in price. If you're just looking for a cheap power supply, again, look elsewhere.

3 out of 5 eggsLOUD!!

Pros: Small and compact: Good for small cases

Cons: LOUD!! specs say dual 'silent' fans, but it is by far the loudest portion of my system. Gonna try some aftermarket silencing products to shut it up!

1 out of 5 eggsJUNK

Pros: NONE

Cons: JUNK..Don't waste your money and time on this one. Even with a $20 rebate it still sucks..I should have had this for the 4th of July with all the sparks and smoke!

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is not a comment on this PSU per se. It is most likely not bad

Cons: The problem here is not the hardware. The problem is that Powmax does NOT honor their promise to fulfill rebates. Go ahead and apply for your Powmax rebate. Just do NOT expect ever to receive any rebate money back from Powmax. They are dishonest.

Other Thoughts: Last time I did a Powmax deal with Newegg, it was Newegg and not Powmax that fulfilled the rebate. This is very much to Neweggs credit. They are honest and take care of their customers. But STILL, I will not buy from a fraudulent company like Powmax. They are straight up untrustworthy. I will not reward them in any way, and certainly not with my business.

1 out of 5 eggsEven for free, it's not worth it.

Pros: You get a lot of experience removing and re-installing your PSU

Cons: Fails miserably. Will pop, smoke and spark. Fireworks you don't want to see!!

Other Thoughts: This is the worst PSU I have ever used. I purchased and swapped 4 of these over an 18 month timeframe.
I called the company for some support "he" was out or busy and to try back after lunch. Huh?
I purchased another brand and it's been running just fine for over a year.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good.

Pros: Cheap (FAR), fits the Powmax case I have.

Cons: Cheap.

Other Thoughts: Crossing my fingers, but hey, the original 230W (in the $30 Powmax 3304 case) lasted me almost 2-1/2 years and would almost certainly have lasted longer if I hadn't added a Quadro 980XGL to my already OC'd Sempron 2400+ (3000+). Not to mention the DVD burner, 7200 RPM HDD, FDD, and internal USB card reader. The 230W PSU didn't owe me anything. I figure another 30% output should do fine.
