5 out of 5 eggsquite possibly the best item I've ever ordered from Neweg

Pros: 1. Dead silent.
2. Beautiful! Solid aluminum casing is shiny and goes well with the gold-painted SilenX fans.
3. Steady/cool running despite no fan; at low loads (40-80 watts by my measurement) it is barely warm at all even after thousands of hours of uptime. Maybe it's because it contains "server-level components" as the specifications claim.
4. The status LED's on the back are awesome.
5. (not important): The retail packaging seems like overkill. It gives you the feeling that you just invested in something very reliable and elegant.

Cons: It's heavy and expensive. Also, it is not 80-Plus certified, so it's not really, really efficient.

Other Thoughts: My use for this PSU:
Home & office server / music PC;
One WD Caviar Green Series HD
512 MB DDR2 667 mem (one stick)
Integrated graphics & audio
Intel Celeron 430 Conroe L 35 Watt CPU
two fans: one 80mm on the CPU heatsink, another 120mm case fan

5 out of 5 eggs?

Pros: I bought this because of good reviews and because they say you get what you pay for. I thought this was DOA when it emmited no noise at all. Then I did my research thet it was fanless. I thought "Zero Acoustic" was a marketing term!

Cons: Makes your PC top-heavy if mounted at the top.

Other Thoughts: I like cake.

HTPC
X2 5050e @ 3GHZ
1.5TB Seagate

4GB DDR2 1066 @ 1100MHZ

5 out of 5 eggsFabulous Power Supply

Pros: Silent, Reliable

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This power supply is fabulous. I have two of them that have been running over a year. They are silent. Don't misunderstand me. I don't mean they are quiet. They are absolutely dead silent.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh Quality

Comments: Make no mistake, this is a very good PSU. I've had it for months with no issues at all. Probably the main thing to keep in mind is the power output. You might want to figure out your system power usage before investing in this, because now days power consumption can get rather crazy. I'm using a Athlon64 Winchester core so my power needs aren't that large.

I've also done some reasearch on this PSU (after I bought it) and it seems to handle load far better than any other fanless PSU. It also does not produce a high pitch tone like some other fanless powersupplies sometimes do.

5 out of 5 eggssilence is golden!

Comments: Have had this fanless PSU for 2 months now, and I am extremely pleased. I recently built a quiet computer, and this PSU makes no noise. Period. Running an Athlon 62 3200+ DTR, with laptop hard drives. PSU is 250W, which is plenty for my quiet system, and I would imagine most quiet systems (non-overclocked). Anyway, the PSU hardly even gets warm to the touch. Expensive, but well worth it.
