Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: Newegg refunded the purchase quickly.

5 out of 5 eggsFeels like a boat anchor

Pros: Very quite compared to the PS it replaced. 12V shows a stable 11.7 by mboard software (accuracy?). Very solid feeling. Plenty of wires. Even has a fan speed leader to plug onto motherboard for speed detection. Lots of features for a budget PS.

Cons: Minor, lots of wire to snake around in box and get out of the way.

Other Thoughts: I read that this was a heavy PS, but it was heavier than I imagined. The casing is very solid, and the heat sinks look massive inside. Replaced a very cheap PS with changing voltage, I was worried it might fry another mboard. I feel safer with this PS.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good power supply for the price

Pros: Very good! Very silent, large fan, nice color, very heavy, no voltage fluctuation, lot of cables, good price. Bought a cheap $xx power supply less than a year ago, and it was already about to die (from the noises I could hear). So I decided to change it before it died.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend that product. Newegg rocks. I received the item in 1 business day (I paid for 3 business days)

4 out of 5 eggsAll rails below nominal voltage

Pros: Quiet. About as loud as an AMD CPU cooler when Cool 'n Quiet is enabled and then CPU fan is spinning at 1600RPM. This power supply is not as quiet as the 330 watt SeaSonic power supply I have installed in another computer, but it's pretty darn quiet.

Cons: Had to RMA this unit because the 12V rail measures 11.2V according to the ASUS motherboard's probe software. The ATX12V Power Supply Design Guide (Version 2.2, March 2005) says 5% is the minimum at non-peak conditions. All the other rails were about 5% below nominal too.

Other Thoughts: I'm asked for an RMA replacement, which means I'll give Silverstone another try.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great. Long cables. I have it in a G4, and there's plenty of slack when the case is open.

Cons: More molexes than I know what to do with! Not really a _bad_ thing though.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quiet

Pros: Fan noise is almost non-existant. I had to feel for air movement to make sure the PS fan was operating. Tons of cables to hook up the kitchen sink if need be. I have an ATX motherboard using 20 pin connector and this PS works just fine after detaching the +4 pin connector. Some supplies won't work unless all pins are used. Not this one. Computer is up and running stable with no glitches.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsSmooth Sailing

Pros: Worked well right out of the box. Easy fit into my Antec case. All mounting screws lined up perfectly. 20+4 pin connector is a plus for compatibility with a 20 pin motherboard. Sleeving on main power cables is sweet. It's also very quiet.

Cons: Cables are a bit longer than I've seen on other PSUs, and presented a small challenge. Had to stash the SATA connectors and excess main power cable between my DVD burner and my DVD-ROM drive. Stored the excess peripheral connectors just behind the PSU.

Other Thoughts: Take your time installing it. Lace things up nice and tidy, and be certain to use heat-shrink or other insulating material over all unused connectors. Check the voltage switch setting on the PSU before you fire it up.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Great supply if you don't need PCI-Express. Looks nice and is quiet. Nice braiding on the main power cables.

Cons: Had to RMA the first supply that was shipped to me, since it had a 24 pin connector instead of a 20+4 connector for compatibility with my motherboards. A 7 inch 24 to 20 pin adapter cable was included, but I won't use adapters in any of my builds. The second PSU I received had the 20+4 connector.

Other Thoughts: These PSUs ship optioned for 230V, so if you're in the US, remember to check this setting before you power it up.

5 out of 5 eggsRepeat customer

Pros: Last one I bought was so good I went with this one again. After a few days voltages settled out on this thing and are flatline with no ripple. They changed configuration on the 24 pin motherboard connector on this power supply and now you can interchange between 20 pin and 24 pin without a long connector strand like the last one I bought which is a huge improvement. As I've come to expect, Silverstone psu's work!

Cons: none this time- I wish it had one pci-e power cable but at this price compared to a psu that does you can buy a molex to pci-e connector cheaper

Other Thoughts: Again this an excellent psu for the price if your just running some basic parts with minimum to no overclocking, and a basic set of components. This is the best function verses price psu that newegg sells.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Perfect Non-Gamer PSU

Pros: Quality construction, long cables with plenty of connectors, rock solid rails.

Cons: No PFC, but you can't really expect it at this price and it's rails don't fluctuate, anyway.

Other Thoughts: I needed a power supply for a machine I was building out of spare parts for my girlfriend's parents. This unit has more than enough power and is put together with the same attention to detail as my 600W Strider. If you need a cheap PSU for a workstation PC, this one is a no-brainer.
