died after 6 months
- Pros: Does everything it claims.
- Cons: After 6 months of using it, it died on me. I called silverstone up and they replaced it with a brand new one free of charge. They did however make me pay the shipping to get the defective one back to them. They claimed that 2% of their PSU's are defective. They also claimed that 2% of ANY manufacturers PSU's are defective. I don't know how true this is, but if it is, then 2% of us are going to have to deal with this downtime :(
- Other Thoughts: I sent it in, they received it within three days. It took an additional ten days(weekends included) to get it back from them. Luckily I had a spare PSU, but if I didn't, I wouldn't be too happy with how long it took to get back. My only fear at this point is whether I received another defective one. I guess I'll know in another 6months to a year if I'm that 1 in 2500 that manages to get the defective one twice in a row.
PSU died on me
- Pros: It worked great when it worked. Lots of connections.
- Cons: I purchased this PSU on 6/6/2007 and it died on 12/12/2007. It had about 200watts of load put it on 24/7.
- Other Thoughts: Reading others reviews, mine was probably a fluke. Hopefully this won't happen again :(
Great PSU and works for 20pin
- Pros: Single Rail and solid PSU
- Cons: Reviewers on newegg
- Other Thoughts: What are reviewers talking about? I am on a 754pin mobo with a 20pin connection. I have this VERY PSU connected into it with the 4pin still attach to the connector but just not plug in the 20pin connector. 24pin to 20pin adapters are useless unless you have some object around your 20pin connector just as capacitors. Heck, you can still run a 24pin mobo on a 20pin PSU but just don't run any high end videocard.
Seriously. Some of you guys need to label yourself as low knowledge on computer instead of high.
