3 out of 5 eggsCheap for a Reason

Pros: -Inexpensive.
-Good number of connectors.
-Good for basic, value conscious builds.

Cons: -VERY cheap feeling.
-Noisy fans.
-No PCI-E power connections for video cards.
-Not a brand known for reliability.

Other Thoughts: This unit is cheap and cheap for a reason. The price is good but the unit feels cheap, it uses basic fans that are noisy, it won't power a video card and while I've never had problems with them, there are a lot of stories of these having poor reliability. Definitely only use it in builds that are basic and price conscious but if that's your goal, I've had good experiences thus far.

5 out of 5 eggsI've ordered dozens

Pros: I was surprised to see that I hadn't already written a review on these. Yes, they're not high end PSUs. No, they won't power a high end graphics card. If you thought they would, in all seriousness, you should consider a professional to set up your system. These are meant for very light use systems that are intended for mainly simple tasks (internet, email, documents, and the like). All that being said, these do an excellent job. I've installed a few dozen of these now and have yet to have one fail in the past couple years that I've been installing them. Logisys makes (or use to make) a model with a single fan but at the price the extra fan is better. I've not seen any cause a lot of noise like some reviewer's have said, but with 2 fans if they get clogged up they'll make noise the same as any other fan.

Cons: They aren't high end, but that's why they're cheap. You get what you pay for and these are great for their price.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking to make a cheap system, or just looking to replace a dead power supply on a low end system then these are a good choice.

1 out of 5 eggsLiterally dangerous

Pros: Cheap, lasted for longer than I expected

Cons: Had it for 6 months with no issues, with a GTX460 graphics card installed. Added a new processor and it blew up. Heard some pops and saw a few electrical arcs in the PSU, then nothing. Hoping it didn't damage any components; will find out when my new EVGA PSU arrives.

1 out of 5 eggsBEWARE! DO NOT BUY THIS!

Pros: Absolutely nothing.

Cons: Defective out of box
Blew up after 3 hours of use
Noisy
Cheap, unsatisfying wires

Other Thoughts: I am warning you now, do not be fooled by the low cost of this product. After purchasing and installing this PSU to my new build I had about 3 hours of use before it blew up and crashed my computer. The product arrived defective with mounting holes which did not allow for the screws to be fully tightened and the metal case was loose and shook around after being mounted. During a rigorous game of BF3 I was shaken by a loud popping noise and the unsatisfying clinking and clanking of plastic bits being thrown around by the fan inside this horrible machine. My nostrils were pervaded by the smell of burnt electronics which made me cringe. I've been scarred by this catastrophic event to the point where I must receive therapy to ease my mind. My point, spend the extra money, buy a decent name brand PSU and don't go through what I have.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap but beware of 480 watt advertisement

Pros: Nice and cheap for low power computer
Work fine as long that you dont draw too much power from it

Cons: The Power supply design is quite old
Very far from real 480 watt, Only 16 Amp on 12V rail!
Only 2 SATA connector
No Over/Under Voltage, No Over Current protection

Other Thoughts: I have build 3-4 low power computers with this PSU and they work fine. Better to use a lower wattage CPU. Not a good idea if you plan overclock and/or use an AMD CPU that draw a lots of power. If you need to connect a video card with PCI-E connector avoid like pox. 16 Amp at ~70-75% effiency is only about 135 watt.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent CHEAP power supply

Pros: Purchased 2 units in 2008 and they are still going strong as replacements for original OEM [HP] units. One machine is still in my possession and the other was gifted to a friend recently for his daughter.

Cons: NONE - considering the price

Other Thoughts: Works as expected with arguably light loading
