4 out of 5 eggsHella noisy

Pros: Works

Cons: Very noisy. Even with good air flow and low usage.

Other Thoughts: Worked for me in my Dell Dimension 2400 (from 2003) when i upgraded to an EVGA GeForce 6200 512MB (got "bottle-necked" with the 2.66Ghz Pentium 4 but oh well. Not relevant)

2 out of 5 eggsProceed with Caution

Pros: 1) The Price
2) 480w for the low price
3) Includes a power cord
4) Dual Fans

Cons: 1) Barely lasted a year before going out
2) Not many connections
3) 480 Watts are not achievable with this Power Supply. We put it up on a bench and did a test and the most we got was just under 400.

Other Thoughts: You truly do get what you pay for. If you are throwing this in a used computer just to sell then you should be ok. The new computer owner may get a year of use out of it. Dont use this in any computer that you plan on keeping.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: It worked well while it lasted. It didn't kill other components when it died.

Cons: It lasted barely over one year. It steadily got louder over time.

Other Thoughts: I bought this power supply not expecting that it wouldn't last very long and planning to replace it after about a year. In fact, the replacement power supply showed up as this one died. It served its purpose and thankfully didn't kill any other components when it died. I would have rated it with three eggs if it weren't for the noise increase. It is amazing just how loud it got over the span of one year.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: A little over one year and this power supply still works great. It's silent like it's supposed to be.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The only unfortunate thing is it only has 2 sata power connectors. But for the price, it's perfect. I recommend this to anyone with a tight budget.

5 out of 5 eggsLogisys great PSU

Pros: Had all the connections i need and will need for now and way more power than needed, but i alwaysover buy wattage and you cant beat it for the price. also had a few leagcy molex peripheral connections for legacy drives to use for troubleshooting diagnostics and getting data off old drives as well as adding any more fans if mb doesnt have enough connections. fits great in the case and has 2 fans on it. plenty of power for alot of applications and will consider again in future if need a replacement for a budget build.

Cons: only has 2 SATA connections so after a HDD and Optical Drive you cant reallly add anymore unless get an add on card if your MB has enough/the right slot for it.

3 out of 5 eggsthe fans

Pros: Good price. Powers system. Dual fans keep it cool.

Cons: Fans became quite loud after a time. Scary loud.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these and both eventually turned whacky and loud. They are a good price, but it'd be more worthwhile to just spend a little extra on a more durable PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsPower for the price

Pros: Inexpensive with decent output.

Cons: Nothing worth noting at this price.

Other Thoughts: Great power supply I got to resurrect an older Dell Dimension 4600. It was crawling so slow I thought it was virused up. Then when it wasn't booting right I realized the previous replacement PSU had gone bad. This inexpensive gem was the ticket to happiness for this relic. It's great value for the money, even if it may only last a few years.

5 out of 5 eggsBest PSU Yet!

Pros: This is the best/cheep PSU I've ever used. It is great for along time, and hasn't warn out like other people have been talking about. I trust this company and would buy another one from them!

Cons: What cons?!

Other Thoughts: The fan grill should be deeper inside the PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for basic builds

Pros: I use these in my business to replace P/Ss from older computers such as socket 478 P4s and other lower wattage CPUs. It is a good basic power supply. It has two fans which is a good value in this price range. I haven't had one fail yet. It is quiet.

Cons: You might need some splitters if you are running PATA devices and multiple fans or a SATA spitter if you are running. more than three devices. I would step up a bit in price range if you are running a high wattage CPU and multiple hard drives.

Other Thoughts: I also have used one of these to make a bench testing power supply for testing electrical parts on cars. With the availability of high current 12V, 5V and 3.3V you can use it to test motors, relays, run 5V electronics projects and LEDS among other things.
