4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: Has a enough connectors for a low-end system. Large fan.

Cons: 4-pin connectors when separated are bound a little too close together, but I didn't need the second connector. Connectors didn't fit onto motherboard and peripherals as smoothly as higher-end power supplies I've used.

Other Thoughts: Quality relative to price. Can't complain at all. It works fine.

1 out of 5 eggsWorks like dirt

Pros: Quiet. That's it

Cons: Stop supplying power within 30 minutes to an hour of use. Can't leave computer idling or in sleep mode or else gets overly hot. Just completely worthless. Wish I could return it but it came with a combo so I'm stuck with it as a paperweight.

Other Thoughts: Don't cheap out

1 out of 5 eggsArrived DOA

Pros: None, though perhaps I should say that the fact that newegg will ship a replacement is a pro?

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: No power at all. Hard to understand how this leaves manufacturing without some sort of check.

1 out of 5 eggsHalf dead in less than month

Pros: Still fuctions on the 230v for now...hope to get a new PSU in next week.

Cons: Came with a Bundle deal that i ordered on 2/15/14. hasnt even made it a month and it has half died. It fails to turn on when with the normal US voltage(115v) selected. it turns on the shuts right back off. reset the cmos and everything.

Other Thoughts: Really you get what you pay for. If you are doing non intensive computing then this one may be for you, but i dont recommend anything demanding with this psu.

3 out of 5 eggsLow Priced!

Pros: So upon building this rig I like the size of the fan, connections LOOK like there is enough. 550Watts seems more than sufficient for this build.

Someone included in their review: "The lack of the 6-pin Graphics connector". This probably due to the lack of multiple rails to fuel such a connector (this power supply clearly states in specs that it has a single rail, also notes that the 12v supplies 25A which is typically needed for the graphics alone!!!). In higher priced model Power Supplies they do have such a connector! I have or have owned a dual rail Logisys power supply years ago for this reason alone, to power a power hungry Nvidia video card!

It works AS described, long as people read the Specs they will see what is lacking, this is a base line power supply pretty strong really other than maybe the fan issue, fans never seem to last however!

Cons: After looking closer, my SATA DVD Burner, and SATA HDD are seperated a fair distance apart. I found the small 3.5" floppy drive power connector, and the good ol' 4pin molex that is a thing of the past now in new builds (only need 1, maybe 2, 1 from each rail if the power supply has more than 1 rail). I found after installing everything running the wire. I went to plug in the power to my HDD, and the power cable I mistook as SATA power cord was a 2x 4pin molex...

Other Thoughts: To Newegg:

Luckily I had an old-school 4pin to SATA power. Otherwise I would have had to move my HDD from it's installed state to under the Burner less air flow, pain to install conveniently in the case included in Newegg's bundle. I would suggest reading more into the included power supplies that Newegg may put with their bundles. Initially there are enough connecters for the bundle to work correctly, however convenience is taken away due to the lack of SATA power plugs (the only 2 plugs are off the same rail (wireset) and about 4-6 inches distance once installed. So if Newegg offered a 4pin to SATA power adapter for $5 (wow it's $3 to ship such a little item?) to allow the Bundle to be even better!

1 out of 5 eggsdoa

Pros: if it worked I wouldnt mind it

Cons: dos plus there is no 6 pin connector to connect certain graphics cards too so you have to buy an adapter and hope that works :(

5 out of 5 eggsGreat supply for the price! BB fan!

Pros: + part of combo 1563636, a great package for HTPC
+ inexpensive but 550W? I can't say I have tested that
+ ball bearing fan! I can't tell you how many non-BB or hydrofuid bearing fans we have replaced over the years.
+ pulls a lot of air through the supply

Cons: - it doesn't make me younger

Other Thoughts: How do they make these for so little $$$? How can you beat the price and BB fan? Works well in a top mount mid ATX case. May buy another for a planned mini ITX build if it will fit the case I want to use.

2 out of 5 eggsPower supply

Pros: Had all the connections I needed to make my new build work.

Cons: The connectors that supply power to the HDD and Disk Drives are short. I was just lucky I had some extenders handy or I would not have been able to finish my build. The case I have is only a mid tower so there should have been no problem, but there was.
