4 out of 5 eggsMuch better

Pros: Cheap, has two fans.

Cons: Cheap, hope it lasts

Other Thoughts: Was a replacement for an old HP computer. It's cheap, and works.

Was dissappointed that it only had two sata power connectors, w/ limited length. Needed an adapter for the HD/CD-Rom. Nothing major though.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA and Improper

Pros: None

Cons: Unit was DOA.

Marketed as 480W PSU but yet the box states that the average is 330W and using an average setup, 330W is the maximum

Other Thoughts: Returning this PSU and getting a much better PSU. It is worth the extra money.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None

Cons: DOA. Was pretty annoying since I was trying to do a project at night and the whole thing was a giant waste of time thanks to this thing. Reading the reviews I really can't believe that the manufacturers of these power supplies do any QC at all. How embarrassing for them.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg was good.

1 out of 5 eggsgood price not good quality

Pros: I purchased this April 17 2012. I recieved it pretty quickly that wasnt the problem (shipping speed is never a problem with Newegg.com), it was easy to hook up and ran quiet for the first 3 months of use.

Cons: After 4 months it makes ratteling and clattering noises all the time. For the first half hour it hums and growls, it almost sounds like bearings are going out in the fan OR kinda like something is stuck in the fan, Ive checked the fan nothing is stuck in it and it makes noise all the time!

3 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good...

Pros: Cheap
Lots of power
Lots of molex

Cons: SATA power connectors are very close together, but thankfully you can buy some molex-SATA adapters, and this has plenty of molex.

Recently it started making a horrifying noise. By reading all the reviews here I assume it was the fan. I hit it a few times and it stopped, but I don't see me getting another in he future, or if this one craps out.

Other Thoughts: I got what I paid for.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: It's certainly cheap.

Cons: Lasted 4 months. Then the computer started random memory dumps. After a clean install, the dumps continued. Then the power supply completely died. Won't even turn on anymore, even after giving plenty of time for internal circuit breakers to reset. It's toast. I swapped it out with the power supply from another computer to make sure and the computer works great now.

Other Thoughts: I knew the dangers of going with a cheap power supply, but I took the risk anyway because it was an emergency build when I couldn't afford it. Even though it's under warranty, I doubt that after the shipping costs and time spent, it would balance out with the $16 I spent. Lesson learned. You can go cheap on a lot of computer components, but power supplies aren't one of them.

2 out of 5 eggsLower Fan Done after 6mos

Pros: Worked fine for 6 months. Not terribly loud, but noticeable.

Cons: I noticed the secondary lower fan kicked in immediately when extremely light gaming (flash based games) and youtube were on. Not necessarily a con, but the fan noise went from low to very noticeable once that happened. Eventually the lower fan dislodged from the pole or whatever it was mounted to and was spinning against the grill causing a very annoying noise.

Other Thoughts: In the RMA process now, will update my review should that go south with logisys.
