5 out of 5 eggsGreat value for the price!

Pros: The "fingerprint-proof" casing was actually a surprise to me, and though I may never have to put my fingers on it again, it is a nice touch (pun intended!). I was also surprised by the quality of the wire harnesses, which are all surrounded by mesh and disallows any tangles or unwanted snags on itself or other components in your case. Its very quiet for the size of the fan, and plenty powerful for everything in a stock case and a few extra connections allow for several upgrades and additional HDDs or GPU.

Cons: The only thing I noticed wrong was during installation; One of the mounting screw holes was not fully threaded, so I had to finagle it for a bit, trying a few different screws. This is probably a fluke problem but not a terrible ordeal. Otherwise after a week of use thus far, in perfect shape!

5 out of 5 eggsIf you get a good one, these are a score.

Pros: Unless you are one of the unlucky few, these are a steal for the price. Most faulty Logisys PSUs fail immediately or within the first month or two. If you have it more than a year, it will likely last as long as any other power supply.

Cons: They have a higher defect rate than more expensive power supplies. So far I have ordered maybe a dozen similar ones. None have failed in less than a year, only one or two in less than 5.

Other Thoughts: Always remember that unhappy people are the most vocal. Many of the cheaper products on Newegg are decent, they just have higher failure rates that can still be less than 5% of the total.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for budget, non OC builds.

Pros: Cheap. nice big fan. seems to keep the unit cool. Powers computer. Do not plan on overclocking with this unit. I have other logisys PSUs in use for years, and haven't had any issues with them.

Cons: Didn't come with any mounting screws, I have plenty so it was ok.

Other Thoughts: For bottom mount, the 8/4 pin CPU power is a stretch to reach the top. Better for top mount situations.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Very cheap
Seemed nice

Cons: Took it out of the box, looked it up and down, installed it in my case, and boom, nothing. I guess I should have been a little skeptical about a 20ish dollar power supply, but this was my first build so I thought, what the hay.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Power Supply

Pros: Very well built power supply. It has even power. Good price for a 550 watt, but this is NOT a gamers power supply. This is good for a medium power user. If you plan on putting multiple hard drives and high end graphics card, this is NOT your power supply. You need more of a 1,000 watt power supply.

Cons: Not a gamer's power supply.

2 out of 5 eggsDead after 1 month

Pros: When it worked, it did it's job and provided all the power my system needed. Also, it was very affordable.

Cons: Died after 1 month of use. I put together a white box vm server and had it running 24x7. It worked great until 2 days ago, when it just died. So, I got about a month of use out of it. Will replace with a Thermaltake PSU that is going for a few bucks more.

1 out of 5 eggsSpend more on a better power supply.

Pros: Worked for 2 weeks.

Cons: Worked for 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: Built a cheap FreeNAS box. Power supply was cheap and died after 2 weeks of continuous use. I did have a spare, thankfully. Ordered an Antec to replace this. It's not even worth trying to RMA it, monetarily. Save yourself some time and trouble and purchase a higher quality power supply.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Worked... for a while.

Cons: First one I ordered died after an hour of use. RMA'd and the second one worked for about 4 months, it just blew up a ceramic cap last night.

Other Thoughts: Spend a little more on quality.
