2 out of 5 eggsOK but RMA takes 7-10 from time they receive it and support agent was RUDE!!!

Pros: Was stable at first but had a voltage issue I didn't catch right away,

Cons: Rude support

Other Thoughts: After asking support about the status of my RMA I was told it was going to take 7-10 days from the time they receive it to pull one to ship back. He rudely said "we cant just pull one they have a process in the warehouse they can't just pull one off the shelf and send it out it takes time to process" this was after I told him I wasn't told the RMA wasn't going to be processed until they receive it? I now need to buy one because I can't wait over two weeks from the time I shipped it out for a replacement to get shipped back. They weren't the exact words I was in shock at his comeback when I was being polite. So basically if you need to RMA one of their products you could be waiting 3 weeks or more from the time you get the defective unit in the mail, until you have a working product, depending on how far you live from California they just lost a longtime customercustomer.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Morning Kenneth,

I apologize for your experience with our Support Team as the RMA process normally takes up to 10 business days to process depending on product availability, however we're experiencing delays. With that said we will work with you as long as you keep an open communication with us. Feel free to send me a Support Ticket or Live Chat with your RMA number referencing this New Egg Review and I will do my best to expedite your request.

I look forward to your response.

4 out of 5 eggsone pin outside of voltage range

Pros: seemed fine for about 3 years

Cons: when my system started acting strange i tested the pins under load and one of them was well out of range. i can't be sure that this caused my system to have problems but it was well out of spec and very suspicious.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks Great BUT Beware Rebate

Pros: This PSU has all of the features I was needing in my build. The price was pretty high, but there was a rebate offered and this was the determining factor in choosing this specific product (rebate put me within budget).

Modularity kept my case neat
High quality cables
No power issues whatsoever

Cons: Rebate redemption.

While I have no issues with Cooler Master themselves, the rebate instructions were completed TO THE "T" and sent in well-within the required post-mark date. I never received the rebate offer. I worked within a fraud/scam monitoring group for other three years and these were common complaints about "third-party rebates" but figured Cooler Master would follow-through. I was wrong. Buy the best product; don't go for any rebate promises that fall flat. It was only $30 I believe, not enough worth my time to call and hunt down with various unhelpful minimum wage phone jockeys.

Great product, disappointing marketing tactics. My experience may be unique, but that's not usually the case with these rebates. I'll just buy the best I can afford next time regardless of any rebate (or lack of one).

Other Thoughts: I would buy this product again, but I believe my next build will include the Corsair unit I originally intended to buy. It was a bit more money, but quality always beats quantity in my book. Rebates are cheap marketing tactics used to boost sales when you can't show your product has any unique offerings versus the competition. I learned my lesson, although I was not disappointed with the performance of this unit. Cooler Master makes some good stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

Pros: Still working like a champ, purchased 4/29/2010.
It's been going strong for about 4 years now.
It's the quietest part of my PC
Back when I bought it, it was a really good deal.

Cons: None, unless you don't like semi modular designs

It is depressing how for the same price I paid ($100), you can buy the V750 now, with better overall efficiency / specs. That's technology for you.

Other Thoughts: This PSU has been installed in my CM Sniper case, and has never been removed from it to this day.
It powers:
i5 2500K 4.6 GHz OC at 1.40vCore
ASUS P8Z77 V-Pro
Two FirePro V7900s
HTOmega Claro Plus Soundcard
LSI MegaRaid 9260-CV 8i Raid Card
Four 4 TB Western Digital Red Drives
One 2 TB Western Digital Black Drive
One 1 TB Western Digital Black Drive
One Sandisk Extreme 2 480 GB SSD
One Plextor M2P 256 GB SSD

2 out of 5 eggsCooler Master Reputation is changing for me

Pros: Price / Build material quality / Cable length and modularity

Cons: Only had for a month and motherboard detecting surges from PSU. System shutting down/reboots ....down just hangs in suspend state.
At this point, I would likely get better performance from a way cheap PSU made ALSO in China than coolermaster.

Other Thoughts: Guess if you want a good powersupply you have to pay and pay for it!

5 out of 5 eggsLove this.

Pros: I love the features this unit provides. Put in what you need and leave the rest out. Wire management could not be easier.
Has enough to power the highest cards is enough for what you need.

Cons: None so far.

4 out of 5 eggsworks with haswell with some changes

Pros: 700W and modular.

Cons: The 8 pin ATX connector cord is too short to be routed behind the case, so it has to go over my graphics card. If you want it to work with haswell, you need a Z87 motherboard with uefi, and you should be able to disable the "Intel C-state" feature. That will clear up any problems with haswell compatibility.

Other Thoughts: Overall good PSU for the price
