5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: I've had this PSU for about 6 months now and absolutely no issues. I am using almost every available connection (except molex) and running over 800W on my current build. This thing stays cool and quiet on a bottom mount in my NZXT full tower. The fan is so silent that I don't even hear it running, yet it keeps the unit nice and cool. Haswell compatible according to their website. Modular.

Cons: I've only run CM PS units since I've been building computers. I've only had one fry out on me. The packaging on these things is rather extravagant, and they pack the cables in a nice nylon bag with a drawstring closure. While that is nice, I can only imagine these would be around $20 or more less in price without the bling packaging. Oh well.

Other Thoughts: I lucked out as I bought this for my new build before I made the decision to run a Haswell CPU. Fortunately, their website said this model was Haswell compatible, and I have not had any of the sleep/wake issues, so I guess they're right.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat when it worked...

Pros: Lots of power...when it gets power. This is my first CM power source and first power source to ever die on me so they get 1 eRMA before true judgement.

Cons: 2 days ago my computer started shutting down as though someone pulled the plug. First happened in game (Planetside 2, Need for Speed MW) then happened 20 minutes logging into windows then finally wouldn't boot. All temps are fine and nothing has changed since I built my machine 11 months ago. all capacitors on mobo are looking great so it leads me to believe the PSU crapped out. Worse part about this whole situation is that the customer has to PAY shipping to replace a defective part under warranty...not much faith in their own products it seems. Hopefully the RMA process is quick and I receive a brand new PSU and not a refurbished one. I'll let ya'll know how it goes

Other Thoughts: I'm considering looking into Corsair PSU's. Most people seem to like their quality and the warranty procedure is ALOT better than Cooler Master from what I've heard and read. CM gets one more chance...

5 out of 5 eggsSo perfect

Pros: It's very quiet, the modularity makes sense, the flat cables are nice, it's STURDY and feels very solid. It runs quite cool, even under a load.

Cons: The "flat" cables don't mark which line is which, they're just all BLACK, and they're only flat. There is no sleeving to adjust cable positions or anything like that. There is no doing away with the extra 2 pins on the 8vs4 PCIEx power connectors, for instance.

Other Thoughts: For the price and relative silence, this was pretty awesome.

4 out of 5 eggsGood product for the price!

Pros: So far so good, very impressed with everything so far. It looks and feels quality. Cable sockets work well, they aren't a pain to insert or detach yet they stick well. I have only had this product for a few days though so I have yet to see how it holds.

Cons: It has a slight hum of something you hear with extremely high voltage although I cant hear it from my chair so I don't have a problem with it. I never had this high wattage for a power supply before though either so from my perspective this is something to be expected?

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Does its job. I was debating between this and a 1000w, but this is plenty. Been running most of the time for the past month and no problems.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If I ever wanted to run Crossfire, I may have to upgrade, but this is great for running one large card (like my 7950).

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 850 watts and somewhat modular

Cons: started making a random buzzing sound after 6months

Other Thoughts: Got this as a replacement for a antec truepower quattro that failed after 1 1/2 years of 24/7 use from a local computer company. it still works fine but the fan randomly makes a buzzing sound and now that the original purchased 2 year warranty on the antec is up the local company wont replace it. Guess I will have to buy a new PSU from newegg

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs pretty well, powers everything I have with no issues.

Cons: After a couple of months, I began to hear a buzzing sound which is now constantly agitating me. Sometimes it will remain silent, and then buzz loudly, and at different frequencies.

Other Thoughts: Besides the buzzing sound, this is a very good PSU. Although it is 'silent', after a few months it begins to buzz at various speeds.

2 out of 5 eggsQuiet for 6 months

Pros: Lots of power

Cons: After 6 months of low to moderate load the fan on the unit became extremely loud. RMA requires you to send in the product before they send a replacement, leaving me without a computer for who knows how long. Should have spent the extra money on a better PSU

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Typ,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We recommend that the power supply be cleaned at least once every three months to make sure the fan doesn't die prematurely because of dust. We also recommend that the power supply 's fan be facing down. In the even that these are followed and the power supply still has a failed fan, we can replace the power supply under warranty coverage (5 years). 5 out of 5 eggsVery nice Power supply

Pros: Everything is modular but the main motherboard power. Rubber shock insulators keep the vibration noise down to zero.
This powers two Geforce 660ti cards, the motherboard, a quad core (100w) CPU, three hard drives, 2 DVD drives, a floppy drive, an SSD drive, multiple USB devices, and four case fans all with no problems. I have a CM case, so the color and grill design match the case pretty well. This comes with nice cloth bag full of modular cords. The 80 plus, makes a noticeable power savings when the system is at idle. (in fact I never turn off my computer now).

Cons: My motherboard has a 24 pin power supply connector (I would think this is pretty standard, all 3 of my motherboard use this same connector) however the main power connector is a 20 pin, there is also a 4 power connector that plugs in beside, this isn't a problem except for there is no clip on the 4 pin connector (even if there was, there is no place for it to clip to) so the last 4 pins are simply pushed into the connector. This works OK, but I think they would fall out if the case was moved around a lot.

Other Thoughts: Very quiet, powers everything I throw at it. The 80 plus doesn't have immediate power when you plug it into the wall. It takes about 20 seconds or so before you can power up the computer.
