5 out of 5 eggsNice unit

Pros: This thing has the juice for anything you want to hook up to it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This thing powers everything and still has room leftover.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful with tons of cables

Pros: I admit that this unit was overkill on my system, so it is impossible for me to tell if the unit is functioning under incredible stress, as it has an easy 300 watts over what I really need - so far. Where the unit exceeded my expectations was in price. This unit, on special, was incredibly well priced, and so I give it a 5 egg - exceeds my expectations.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I may try to update this, if I get the second video card. At that time, the unit may be under enough stress to get it into the range of the 1000+ watt area. That said, more is better as of now.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy! 2 Units w/Fan Failure @30 Days

Pros: Long cabling, nice hook up.

Cons: The first one lasted only about 3 weeks before the fan began to fail. Almost overnight the unit went from good to bad and it sounded like marbles rattling in a can...really loud! I returned it and replaced it with the same unit.

Flash forward 31 days and I woke up to another failed unit...again the fan sounds like marbles rattling in a can. However this time I'm peeved because I can't exchange it for a different brand.

I'm tempted just to replace the fan with an aftermarket but don't want to void my warranty.

Other Thoughts: Built a second unit at the same time with an XFX and not a single problem with it.

1 out of 5 eggs8-pin connector problem!

Pros: The cons below for me OUTWEIGH any "pros" of this PS.

Cons: Does not have the correct 8-pin connector that goes to the motherboard's CPU/RAM power socket for the Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe motherboard. Even trying to use the PS's supplied 4-pin connectors won't work either because of the shape of the PS's connectors.

Other Thoughts: I mistakenly cut off the box's barcode to send in for a $20 rebate the day before I had tried to install this new PS because I have NEVER in the past had a PS motherboard connector problem. So now Newegg says that they won't take this unusable PS back as a RMA ...

3 out of 5 eggsDarn

Pros: Great PSU for high end computers. Comes with several cords which are not modular, however if you have a system that needs 1200W then you will most likely use everything permanently attached as well as the actual modular components

Cons: took off 2 eggs because my unit was DOA, and shorted every fuse in the house when switched from off to on.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says it does

Pros: Extremely quiet, clean-er power, price

Cons: 24 pin and 4+4 pin power cables could be longer, sata power connectors require quite a bit of force to put on, cable sleeving is a little cheap. Mixed thoughts on black pci-e modular cables

Other Thoughts: I have this in a Phantom 820, powering a micro ATX MB, a Q6700, gtx 680, 1 data drive, 2 SSD's, h100i, 2 fan speed controller's, a BD drive, 2 led lighting kits, and 10 fans, my watt meter is reading maybe 300W under full load when stress testing. Im barely working this PSU and it is dead quiet. I have most of the LGA 2011 gear here except for the chip itself and im planning on a 3-SLI setup which is the only reason I bought this PSU. Like I mentioned before the power cables are a little short, the 24 pin power is not long enough to run behind the MB, it just kinda goes up to where it needs to go, and the rest gets tucked in. My case came with an 8 pin extension cable, but that would have had to go out front too. Mind you this is a case that barely fits under my desk. Im very happy with this purchase. For the price you pay, you get a solidly performing dead quiet power supply, with all the caples you need to run quad sli on an EATX board for a very decent price. Bought some indiv

5 out of 5 eggsMoar Powah

Pros: This easily feeds my G1 Sniper 3 with a 3570K overclocked to 4.2GHz, two Gigabyte GTX 670s, 6 hard drives, and a dozen or so USB devices. The paint job looks great in case you have a window and aesthetics concern you (It's in an HAF-X case). There are far more connectors than I will likely ever need.

Cons: Build quality is not a good as say, Seasonic, but this was priced to compete ($50 less than the comparable Seasonic when I purchased). The 3rd and 4th expansion PCI Express connectors are a different color than the hard wired two, and since the video cards are right outside the window of my case, I'm moderately displeased.

Other Thoughts: We'll see if it can handle two more GTX 670s. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

Pros: -1200W

Cons: -Noise that sounds like little shocks of static electricity have been heard from this PSU when shutting down
-Gets hot easily which is odd because the case and fans I have

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product!

Pros: Everything! Didn't even know it was on--completely silent! Wish there were more 8 pin connectors, and wish there was a 1500W version of this--but otherwise--the Silent Gold Pro lives up to its name!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: Have recommended this item to several people--and will continue to do so.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product, but scary

Pros: Affordable for its price range. Does what it says, (haven't SLI Yet waiting for GTX 780 to come out)
Modular is a plus

Cons: My biggest issue with this PSU is how Tight the fit is for the sata power, I was extremly worried I was going to break the Sata connections on the back of my SSD, took some Elbow grease - Other PSUs I've had NO issues before.

Only reason I took an Egg off was because of how scared it got me, I attempted to stop and put it on another device had same issues, but after some extra pressure (what happen to 0 force?) it went in and works great.

Other Thoughts: Not Really a Con perhaps, but the modular cables feel "cheap", just how light they are. Not a bad thing, but just really odd feeling.
