4 out of 5 eggsLasted 4 Years, great RMA

Pros: Lasted a long time, was very quite and worked like a charm.
RMA process was good, and they sent me back a better PSU since this one is no longer made.

Cons: Died at the 4 year mark and has 5 year warranty. Took about a month for the RMA to finish.

Other Thoughts: While I am upset it died before it's time, I am happy with the RMA replacement they sent me. I would recommend and buy again.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes everything I have expected.

Pros: Quiet

Cons: I took an egg off because the modular cables aren't appealing at all, they actually look pretty bad but I did get this $100 off so i'm not disappointed.

Pros: Having owning this PSU for more than 2 years I can attest to it being a sturdy product.

1000w may be over kill but will never need to buy another PSU again.

Cons: Its big and heavy.

1 out of 5 eggsBasicaly DOA

Pros: Module cables Gold standard

Cons: I bought the power supply 2 months ago. I replaced the motherboard thinking it was that found liquid on the motherboard. So I assumed it was the motherboard. It was this power supply. It turned on just fine except bulging caps in it said otherwise. Now I get a rma now the delivery date is delayed. So I will see how this goes with the new one.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,
I'm sorry for the troubles you had with your PSU. You already mentioned that you were going through with an RMA on it, but just in case, I'm attaching our eRMA link below as well as the link to Contact Us directly in case you need any more assistance, since we certainly wish for you to have a working unit instead of the bulging capacitors :)

4 out of 5 eggsNice PSU

Pros: Nice powerful and quiet unit. Appear to be well built and well packaged. Includes a lot of additional cables and accessories.

Cons: Only complaint I have is that I found one of the PCI power wire not fully locked into the connector which caused some frustration during installation. Once I got that identified and the pin fully seated and locked into the connector, unit did what it was supposed to do.

Other Thoughts: The unit comes with several heavy factory cables that are permanently attached to the PSU, these are good cables but they are VERY stiff. The additional cables that you can optionally plug into the PSU are much more flexible and easy to deal with. Would be nice if the primary wiring harnesses used a slightly more flexible set of wires.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality and quiet

Pros: Is it silent? I don’t hear it. However, I have a case built with noise reduction in mind and there are five other fans that compete for my attention. All I can tell you is that I don’t hear this fan. I do believe that it is quieter than the average PSU though. When I turned on the PC with the case open, I can clearly make out the positions of the other fans, but not the PSU.

If you read the product description on their website they list a lot of features...that I don’t understand. I think I saw something about a happy path. Maybe it was hyper path. Still doesn’t help me.

What I do understand is that it was designed to have better airflow which translates into lower fan speed. It has more than enough cables to meet my needs and most of them are modular so I won’t have the clutter of unneeded cables. The cables that are not removable are the ones that aren’t optional, i.e. motherboard, cpu, etc. It comes with a velcro nylon bag to store the cables you don’t use.

The casing is quality material as are the cables’ shielding and connectors. It was a breeze to find the ports that the optional modular cables needed to plug into.

I haven’t had any issues with this PSU and the wattage is more than I need and probably plenty when I plan on upgrading to SLI.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Nope. Thoughts completed. Thought container empty.
