Flat modularized cables provide easy cable management while leading to better airflow.

  • newegg Heat Transfer Technology L-shaped heat sink layout helps to guide the air flow along the heat sink to improve the air circulation for maximum performance.
  • newegg Hybrid Transformer Unique Hybrid Transformer combining heat-sink with transformer reduces the size by up to 25% than the traditional transformer, providing lesser energy consumption while conducting the heat for better overall efficiency.
  • newegg Hyper Path Hyper Path places IC close to transformers so the signal can be transferred directly from the transformer to components without any energy loss. This feature leads to huge efficiency ratings.
  • newegg 80 PLUS Gold Certified The 80 PLUS Gold certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 87% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg 120mm Ultra Silent Fan A large 120mm fan creates heavy duty airflow to draw heat away from the power supply enclosure while an intelligent fan speed controller automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the system temperature for minimized operation noise.
  • newegg Ample +12V Output plus 6 x PCI-E Connectors The Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold RS800-80GAD3-US delivers reliable 800W output (max 960W) with single +12V rail up to 65A to ensure the maximum provision of 12V power to energy-hungry components such as CPU and VGA cards. 3 out of 5 eggsSata power cable nightmare

Pros: Haven't turned on my system yet because the sata cables do not fit

Cons: I've never had this problem with sata power cables before. These ones literally DO NOT FIT ANYTHING WITH A SATA PORT. I literally would have to use all my force to get the cable into the back of my optical drive. I don't even think it's in all the way still. I'm not going to even try with my SSD since it's way more valuable than the PSU alone. If I can't open up these cables with a screw driver then I'm going to have to try and find differen't cords and wait even longer for my PC to be finished.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: 800watts
Semi-modular
Reliable
Quiet
Runs cool

Cons: Very few cons, and its just me being picky.
Color scheme
Only semi-modular

Other Thoughts: This PSU has been great. No issues at all. The gold color scheme is ugly, just my opinion tho. I am using this with main rig, specs below.

1 out of 5 eggsDissapointed

Pros: Quiet, powerful and just what i needed when it worked.

Cons: Used this PSU for about 1 year and a half with problems. The day i got it in my hands i started building my brand new pc AMD X6 with 12gb of ram and an ATI 6970. As soon i finished installing windows my pc froze didn't know what was the cause, so i started to build the PC from scratch. At the second day of using this brand new pc my pc keep failing, but at some point stoped. Because i don't turn off my pc. i never realized that one of my parts it was failing, but now my pc turn on but it doesn't even start. Got mad crazy trying to figure what was the cause. Wasted money replacing the mobo, the video card and the memory. Guess what? Same problem.. This Power Supply.

2 out of 5 eggsBad hard drive plugs

Pros: Modular, decently quiet, cables are long enough to fit most things without much trouble.

Cons: The hard drive plugs don't fit at all. The plastic on them is bending out from trying to force them into place as the gap isn't large enough to fit. Tried plugging in my old PSU's plugs and they go in smooth as butter without issue. These are quite impossible to work with and as I need to do 8 of them it's a massive pain in the rear trying to not break the plugs or my drives and still get them all hooked up.

Other Thoughts: Buy from a different manufacturer next time.

5 out of 5 eggsgood as gold

Pros: i really like the flexibility of the cables. all the voltages are on the money.
looks great too.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: if i had one thing to pick apart, it would be i wish the cables were a good 4 inches longer. also the spacing on the sata cables should be 5 1/2" for better sli and crossfire hookups, it is only 4".
overall though it is a very nice PS.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid PSU in fancy box

Pros: Mounting screws for both upwards and downwards facing fan. Plenty of ports and a fancy bag for cables

Cons: not much

Other Thoughts: Haven't really taxed the PSU, I bought a step larger than I needed to future proof it should I ever be able to afford a 2nd GPU... Simple to install in a HUGE box, plenty of cabling included for typical needs.

5 out of 5 eggsa very good psu for the money

Pros: very good psu might be on the expensive side but worth every penny ive powered my grandfathers i7 1366 build with it and stays nice and cool besides quiet

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: and for heads up to those who want to buy it it its semi modular but the cables that are not modular are the 24 pin, 2 sata, 2 4 pin mobo, and 1 6pin but therye the main ones all the other cables are modular

5 out of 5 eggsWorth It

Pros: Quiet, quiet, quiet, and reliable. Lots of modular cables to use. Compact. Fits shorter cases.

Cons: Would like one or two more SATA power cables, can live without them, but one or two more would be nice instead of the 2-3 older four-pin cables they also provide.

5 out of 5 eggsNice PSU

Pros: The cables are somewhat thinner than most other brand psu cables (except 24pin connector and 8 pin which is same size) very heavy PSU and gives plenty of juices for my computer

Cons: Not 100% modular but i knew that before hand and not enough to knock over an egg
Price is bit expensive but then again great quality PSU

Other Thoughts: My fairly new PSU about 3 month old started dying amd making my computer restart randomly while playing games... it was ocz modxstream 700w.... i personally think this PSU also killed my previous GPU and Mobo.... Never go cheap on PSU NEVER or ull be replacing parts after 3 month like me..... trying to save 80 bux costed me more then 500 extra (although was good excuse to upgrade 3 month old pc)
