Cooler Master offers a brand new lineup of power supplies for end users – the Silent Pro Gold Series, which meet the 80Plus Gold Standard with over 90% power efficiency.

Using technologies such as Heat Transfer Technology (HTT), Hyper Path, and Hybrid Transformers, the Silent Pro Gold sets a new standard in PSU excellence. Compliance with the latest Intel standard ATX 12V V2.3, the Silent Pro Gold is also SLI and CrossFire certified. Flat modularized cables provide easy cable management while leading to better airflow.

  • newegg Heat Transfer Technology L-shaped heat sink layout helps to guide the air flow along the heat sink to improve the air circulation for maximum performance.
  • newegg Hybrid Transformer Unique Hybrid Transformer combining heat-sink with transformer reduces the size by up to 25% than the traditional transformer, providing lesser energy consumption while conducting the heat for better overall efficiency.
  • newegg Hyper Path Hyper Path places IC close to transformers so the signal can be transferred directly from the transformer to components without any energy loss. This feature leads to huge efficiency ratings.
  • newegg 80 PLUS Gold Certified The 80 PLUS Gold certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 87% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg 120mm Ultra Silent Fan A large 120mm fan creates heavy duty airflow to draw heat away from the power supply enclosure while an intelligent fan speed controller automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the system temperature for minimized operation noise.
  • newegg Ample +12V Output plus 6 x PCI-E Connectors The Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold RS800-80GAD3-US delivers reliable 800W output (max 960W) with single +12V rail up to 65A to ensure the maximum provision of 12V power to energy-hungry components such as CPU and VGA cards. Included 3 x 6+2-pin and 3 x 6-pin PCI-E connectors allow you to build flexible SLI or CrossFire gaming system.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: It runs silent in the sense that the fan hardly turns on because it is so efficient. I've never had an issue with this power supply, it's a real work horse.

Cons: There are none.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding PSU

Pros: Solid 12v single rail design (780w)&(65a) *More than enough to run a GTX 780 Ti SOC*
Modular cabling, (semi?) Very easy to set up and manage cables! Has most if not all the cables you will need.
RUNS SUPER STABLE! Consistent voltage! More than 90% efficient actually too! Just check out the cooler master web page for the PSU.
QUIET with auto fan control
Not sure the exact temps but, it does not get very hot.

Cons: None that I can think of, it hasn't given me a problem yet.
It doesn't stop big brother from violating your rights....

Any questions, ASK!

Other Thoughts: Cooler master products are what they say. You get exactly what it says with a good rate of having quality products, and at reasonable prices!

3 out of 5 eggsDied after 1 year

Pros: Easy to install and modular. Pin-outs are labelled and the specs are great.

Cons: After just one year of use the power supply finally died. Upon power up it made a very loud popping noise and released the smoke of doom.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully CoolerMaster will replace it as it is still under the 2 year warranty.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsNo problems.

Pros: I've no problems with this PS. It works great, very efficient and quiet like the name suggests.

Cons: I had to buy an extension for the CPU power cable because it wouldn't fit in my case which is only an Antec 300. Also I had problems trying to reach the main power connector to the MB because the length of the cable was too short. I managed to get it but it was a strenuous task.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately when I bought this, I thought I was going to use SLI but I never managed to actually do so, so I kind of paid a little too much for an 800W PS but I still got it for a good price.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good product

Pros: This PSU is installed in a Cooler Master case and has served very well in the computer I built to do Boinc processing. I particularly like the modular cable feature.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: There were 3 Cooler Master products in the order I made last June and all had rebates that you had to apply for. I gathered all the necessary documentation and sent it in before the end of June. From time to time I checked on the status and in early October I learned that the process was complete and a response was mailed. It is now December and no response or rebate has been received. Cooler Master needs to evaluate the company that does their rebates. Rebates take far too long. While I like Cooler Master products and have good experience with them, in the future I will not consider any rebates they offer to be a positive thing.
